Interior from H***...NO PICS THOUGH

I just got done doing a quick detail for the sister of a lady that lives in my development. It was a 99-02 F-150 extended cab. I didn't get pics because my camera was dead and plus I didn't even want to take pics...I just wanted to get it done before the Super Bowl came on. They dropped the truck off and I just did a quick look at the exterior...it was dirty. Then when I got in it to move it into the garage so I could get out of the wind, I was disgusted. Her hair, dog hair, DIRT, trash, ashes...even a bottle full of cigs in water to put them out in...it was DISGUSTING. I was disgusted. It took over 2 hours just to do the interior. There was at least a couple centimeters of dist/dirt on the dash. I wish I had pics of this thing. I vacuumed, All purposed the door panels and dash, used my steam shark to lift dirt and hair out of the floormats and then scrubbed them with Four Star Carpet/Upholstry and then vacuumed again. I also cleaned the windows with Invisible Glass and MF that came out black when I was done. I then moved onto the exterior with a wash and a NXT wax job..thats all she wanted. I didn't touch under the hood. It took me 4.5 hours. I added $10 to the price because the interior was so dirty and she was fine with that, and gave me a tip. Made $100.00 out of it. If I would have known the condition of the interior I would have charged a little more but considering I didn't do a buff job on the exterior, I thought it was fair. What do you all think? Again, sorry for no pics.

i have come across many vehicles like that nad it makes you wonder what their houses look like. i don't know how people can be around filth like that and not care. price wise seems low to me, but if it is a side job, then it's not too bad

sounds like u made out decent, good thing she left u a tip because without the tip, it wouldn't of been worth ur time.....hopefully it wasn't extended cab

i just did a wash n wax (side job) on a f-150 for 50$ and it was in pretty bad shape...trucks generally dont get treated as good as cars

p.s......i prob would of charged 125 w/o the tip....but whatever its not like u got cheated....it was like 20 sumthing an hour and she dropped it off and picked up, its differnent if u have to go to them

I just do it on the side and I'm trying to price myself a little lower than I used to being that I live in an area where people do not have the same income like where I used to live. I'm trying to get some clients so i'm not trying to price myself too high. I had told this lady it would be around $80 but that was without even seeing the truck. She just wanted a wash, wax and vacuum so I thought $80 was fair for a white truck. If I were to do this truck where I used to live, it would have been $100 right of the bat. I can't charge that down here. I raised the price to $90 after I worked so hard on the interior and luckly I got the extra $10 as tip. I thought it was fair, but I would have liked to have charged more. I figure if I charge high, I won't get anything but if I charge a little under normal prices, I will get the business and have more money than what I started with...and I didn't have to go anywhere.
