Interior/Exterior Vinyl Protectants?

2007TBSS

Hey all. I searched the forums (maybe the wrong one?) but didn't see this in the product discussion. What do you guys use for vinyl dressing on your interior and do you use a different product for exterior trim and tires ect?

I bought some 303 but the stuff is a bit pricey to be smearing all over the SS every weekend. And I have also been getting a streaky spotty finish with it too.

Any suggestions on interior vinyl and exterior trim and tires dressing? Preferably something over the counter, but I would gladly order it for the right product.

Thanks!

You could get Lexol Vinylex which is available nearly everywhere, but it's high gloss. You could always apply it and go back over it with a clean microfiber towel to take some of the sheen out. You can get it in spray form or in wipe form. (which is news to me)

Lexol Leather Care

Works well on interior trim as well as exterior. I'm sure there are other OTC options, I just can't think of them at the moment.

Interior: Surf City Dash Away (available @ Napa & others).

Exterior: Stoner's Trim Shine, Duragloss #265, Megs Natural Shine

My bottle of 303 lasted me about 4 years.

I also use 303 on a terry sponge or MF sponge. I rub in, let sit for 20 minutes, and then re-apply where it seems to have soaked up, then wipe down with a MF.

I also use Meg's 40 on the outside trim, door seals (or 303). I just tried it on 1/2 of the interor, and find that its a bit too shiny for my likes.

For OTC. 303 on interior. Usually wipe it down with a MF after. Lately I have been using the Megs Ultimate Protection on exterior and am really happy so far with the durability. Used it on my retractable bed cover and thru one week and a rain storm, it still looks as if I just put it on.

Meguiars Quick Interior Detailer is pretty decent for OTC

Yeah, most of the time that's all I use on interiors. I find that (for *my* vehicles in *my* situation, YMMV...) interior "protection" usually isn't all that necessary.

For exterior trim, roughly 95% of the time I use either the Klasse twins or 845, *not* a dressing-based approach.

Tires- Z16 almost exclusively.
