They're not really going to give you dry cleaning fluid (or at least I doubt they would - that stuff, commonly referred to as perc, is pretty nasty for the environment and strong stuff).
What they will do is give you some concentrated stain remover - the stuff they use, normally watered down, to apply to stains prior to garments going into the washers that have the perc.
So head to the cleaners, hand them the bottle, and let them give you some solution. Ask them if it needs to be diluted (some will have a box of this stuff lying around in concentrated form, others will have it already diluted sitting in spray bottles/drums).
If it's not diluted, obviously - dilute it (duh!)
Once you've got it in proper concentration....
Vacuum the affected area. Spray the solution on the stain, and agitate it with a brush. Wipe up whatever you can with a dry cloth, then get a spray bottle with some water, spray some water on the spot, and wipe again. Repeat the process until you're confident that enough of the solution has been removed from the carpet.
Of course - some caveats:
-This is strong stuff - even diluted. Test for colorfastness.
-Windows open. Unless you feel like sending a few more brain cells to their doom, this stuff shouldn't be applied in a closed car.
-Don't step on the wet area for awhile.
It should work great - I've had to do this both on the inside of my beater car and in the home - and this stuff works like a charm. I really should've just asked to buy an entire box from them, but since they're friends of mine, I'm sure they wouldn't take the cash for the box, so I didn't feel right.
