Interior Carpet

I am going to attempt to clean the company car that I was given. It is a Dodge Stratus that looks like it was never cleaned. There are some stains on the carpet that I want to get out. I am going to take it home, remove the seats and go from there. What is the best solution that I can use. I have heard on here that people use Woolite, is this correct? I will try to get some pics up of my progress.

I have used the Woolite/water mix (1 part Woolite 6 parts water). It works well for light stains. I have used the Prestone Cleaner (in a red spray can...has a removable brush on the top of the can) and Blue Coral Dri Clean for heavier spots. Both of those have always worked for me, but I have never really had to clean a very stained interior.

One product that is mentioned a lot on here in Folex. You may want to give it a look, as people are always talking good things about it on here.

I have used the Prestone foam cleaner on carpets and it works great on everything except the most difficult stains ... On really tough stains I use BlueMagic Carpet stain and spot lifter. It works well on oily stains and tar spots. You can find both products at Wal-Mart.

I've used the 303 cleaner and it works real good. I have some Charlies Soap APC now that I'd like to try. I guess I'll have to go put stains on my carpet so I can try it out. :)

I'm sure that I can loan you some stains from my work car. I had to pick up one of my employees today and I was embarassed to let him in. This was a car used by the previous supervisor, he should have had some more respect for it. It makes me ashamed that another management employee treated the car like this. :ticked

That's OK. I'll pass on that one, but maybe I can do you one better. :) I've ordered some Charlies Soap APC for use here at work (City) We have some cars that have carpets that will be, let's say, a "perfect" test bed. :hah I know the facilities division has a small extractor. Maybe I can borrow that and give this stuff a real :crazy test.

Folex has always worked well for me.

Here are some before and afters using Folex and The Little Green Machine:

I've used the Oxy Clean method described by GSRstilez in the post referenced above with very good results.

Be sure to use a carpet stain remover on the more serious spots in combination with the Oxy Clean if you go that route.
