Interior: Air Freshener and Fragrance?

The New Car Smell that Ozium makes is the closest to the real smell that I've found. It still isn't the real deal but its close. Much better smelling than the blue and white.

If odor killing is your goal then Fabreeze is a great option. That kills everything. I did a car once where the lady had a gallon of milk that bust open in the trunk...A WEEK AGO!! IN AUGUST!!! The smell was pretty bad. It had gotten to the point that they couldn't even drive it. Fabreeze killed it just fine. The only downside is that Fabreeze is pretty strong. Definatly let it air out for awhile before you get back in the car.

<strong class='bbc'>the only other smell i ever wish i could have kept was the woollite heavy duty carpet cleanner scent.....just after i used it....but it faded in a wk...man that was cool...im gonna go smell the bottle and get a fix:p [/b]</blockquote>I agree Floni!! That Woolite smells awesome!:xyxthumbs I have a bottle right here...ahhh that's the stuff. :D

JohnN, your new car smell on the ML faded already? Mine lasted till 16K miles! (1.7 years!). But I never put the windows down :D .

I'm just lamenting the days that it'll be gone, and all I'll have is memories of the smell :(

Also - have that damn Honda - don't like the way it smells at all. I'd love to have it go back to the new leather days.

Next time you get a new car borrow an air compressor and stick the intake into the interior! Voila, instant new car smell for later! Okay, maybe that won't work....Very well Flackey, I will have to try the Heavy Traffic!

The only way to get rid of odors is with a dedicated de-odorizer. I have had great sucess with www.atmosklear.com ...great stuff. I too have the Ozum and it does smell pretty good, but the smell fades really quickly. Also, Febreeze is garbage IMO, mostly just flowery scent.

<strong class='bbc'>I am currently testing some EagleOne vent clips and am pleasantly surprised. The smell is nice and subtle, not fake or out of place. Being in the vent also seems to dissipate the fragrance very evenly so it does't smell too strong in any one area. I think it's a great idea.:up [/b]</blockquote>Sounds great Brad, but where do I pick some up? Also, what car(s) are u testing it on? Thanks for any and all help Brad.

I used some cheap colognes in my old cars. Just spritzed them in different areas on the carpet. Worked like a charm. :D

Whewww, worked the NADA show and stayed pretty well boozed up the whole time.

Missed getting together with the group down there as was busy trying to do 24 hours in 18 hours,(gotta pass out sometime).

That was my 3 or 4th M.*. and am still an idiot, never have learned!

Ron, nice to see you posting. Is there any patent on these de-oderizers. The stuff I use, AtmosKlear, sounds close to (if not exatly) the stuff you guys sell. There's a lot of similarities, like the ocasional chlorine smell ect. Just a dumb curiosity question.

Where are you guys finding this 'Ozium New Car Smell' you keep talking about..... I have never heard of it before.....

You can get it at Auto Zone, PepBoys, Target, Checker... Just about anywhere they sell car stuff. Little grey and white bottle with a picture of a car with a bow on it. Good stuff. :xyxthumbs

I have been using a can of this green apple scented stuff. I put it under the seat and it works pretty darn good without being to sweet and flowery. I've had it in my truck for 5 weeks now and it is still noticable when a window is open or the vents are on however it is begining to fade so I'll replace it soon. I found their website and discovered the gold mine of car scents.
