Integra Type R and a Subaru WRX

Gen2

Both the cars were very new when they were brought to me for the detailing session, both are nice looking car, both are very fast and the only difference was there were minor swirls on the WRX whereas the condition of the Integra was in a pretty good shape.

The process for the Integra was pretty straight forward since the condition was pretty alright,

1. wash

2. clay

3. PO106FF/RMG mix (70/30) + Orange pad + DA @ speed 5

4. Prime Acrylic + Green pad + DA @ speed 4

5. JW Acrylic Jett Trigger by hand using MF towel

For the WRX, there was some minor defects removal to be done, so the process was as follow,

1. wash

2. clay

3. IP/RMG mix (70/30) + Orange pad + cyclo

Here’s the result after the IP/RMG step,

After

4. Prime Strong + Blue pad + DA @ speed 4

5. JW Trigger applied by hand using MF towel

6. ClearKote Carnauba Moose Wax by hand

This new combo turned out to be pretty wet looking.

Holy crap. Nice pictures. I'm sad to see the Intergra/RSX go (atleast here in the states). Looks very well balanced and fun to drive... Very visually pleasing to the eye.

Hey Sludge, thank you for the compliment. Personally I find the WRX came out very wet looking and had that carnauba glow on it. Btw I dare not say I am a Mazda specialist but out of all the different makes of cars I have detailed, Mazda has the largest numbers :p.

Hi joyriiide1113, glad that you like the pictures. The Integra Type R suffer the same fate here as in the states. From what I heard, this Type R model is no longer in production and this car which you are seeing now is one of the last few units left when my customer bought it.

Excellent work as always, really love the wet glow on the WRX. :)

I have to agree about Carnauba Moose, really rich and wet looking wax.

Hi guys, thanks for all the compliments. It seems like there is a mixed feeling over here, some like the glossy look on the Integra and some prefer the wet glow on the WRX. Personally I prefer the rich wet look on the WRX, the way Scott described it.

atticdog - I topped Trigger with moose wax without any waiting time, immediately after I finished applying Trigger, I put on the carnauba moose wax.
