Insulator Wax Durablilty Update!

I have a update on #845 Insulator Wax. I applied it on the blazer about 2 weeks ago, and I thought I'd try and wash it to test the durabilty and slickness.



I must say, I'm very impressed with the slickness of this wax. It is very close to the slickness that it had when first applied.



Beading is still great as well, which I really didn't expect. Here are some pictures of it so you can see for yourself:

Yep, it still looks great, but I'm not surprised after two weeks- that wasn't a typo was it (as in "two months")? I use their 476S paste, and it's good for months, even in winter conditions.
 
I used IW on my own car 3 weeks ago. Washed it 4 times since. The beading is just like in your pictures, a zillion of them everywhere including on the vertical panels. I am blown away by the Collinite waxes. My nephew and I did his sister's new Honda Pilot SUV with FP II, P21S GEPC and IW last week. It will be our durability tester for the New England winter. We plan on 1-2 coats of IW in October on the Pilot.



For those who still use carnauba waxes and live in the Northern climates give Insulator Wax a try. You won't regret it!
 
Nope, but I'm going to give updates on the durability every couple of weeks, so we can break down the product compared to the 476S on the buick.
 
I've got more than 4 months and counting for the cleaner/wax they have, #870 Fleetwood. Beads like crazy still!



I just got some 845 in a trade and have 3 wash/polish/wax jobs tomorrow (F-250, Camry and an Accord) so I will be using it on those vehicles. I see the F-250 about 3 times a year (he washes it himself) so I can see how it compares to #16 since that seems to hold up decently for 4 months.
 
No experience with Collinite waxes, I remember reading somewhere that they are a little harder to remove that others. Is this true?

Scottwax how would you compare #870 to long haul? cleaning and durability?

#870 doesn't appear to have any abrasives, so it cleans chemically. Long Haul does have light abrasives in it so with a polishing pad, it will remove minor defects-maybe a touch more aggressive than Vanilla Moose. Long Haul was good for around 4 months on the two trucks I used it on that I see regularly, also looking and beading nicely on a Hummer H2 at about the 3 1/2 month mark, so LH isn't a slouch when it comes to durability but the beading at 4 months is tighter with #870.
 
I've gotten good durabilty with it as well. For a carnuba, it has impressive durability. Also try bliz wax by one grand if you are looking for a durable carnuba blend.
 
At 2 weeks the 845 is just warming up..... ;)

Be patient in these durability updates, it will take a little more than 2 weeks to make a dent on this wax......

I was told by a person at Collinite that 870 (liquid Fleetwax) wasn't meant for clearcoats. Have you noticed any adverse effects?
 
Has anyone else used 870 on clearcoats and gotten good results? Or did you (Scott) use it on single stage paint?
 
I have tried the paste Fleetwax #885 on my car, looks good, lasted for 1 month plus and now still on my car beading strongly. In fact as I am typing this it is raining cat and dog over here : (.
