Input on first flier

Looking to try to generate some decent business but still as a part time thing only. If things go well may think about this as a full time venture. I put together a flier that a lady said she would be more than willing to pass out to 200 families that she is associated with. How could I turn down that kind of opportunity. That being said, I want this to be done right and priced right. Would hate to find out I under priced myself. The market is fairly good around here. This will be going to above average income families. Let me know what you guys think. Any help is much appreciated.

So what do you guys think?? :thanks

I think this lady deserves a free detail.

Its one thing to just randomally pass out 200 fliers(which I feel are VERY ineffective) But to have someone offering to pass them on to there Family/Freinds....:bigups

The info on flier looks good to me, one thing to remember...I have given my biz card to someone before only for them to call me a year later...So be patient

Here are some thoughts I had. None of these actually involve detailing so I removed it. Some things need to be explained to the guy reading the flyer.......do you expect them to know what clay or RainX is? EXPLAIN why it is a good thing. My two cents.............

I agree with Foghorn Leghorn.
He did it but forgot to tell you, lose the "detail" next to basic.

Nicely done RTexasF

Thank you, just trying to help a bit. I don't think any of us can speak to pricing as there are too many unknowns. I see no mention of machine paint correction so I must assume all is done by hand which is one of the reasons I removed "detailing".

Best of luck on the flyers. Generally they are not very sucessful but you have to start somewhere especially if someone is willing to help you.

Thanks. You guys are the best. This is just a part time start up thing. If it goes well I would consider this full time. I will get into paint correction if this does well. I just haven't had any customers interested in it. So for it to be called "detailing" there would have to be paint correction done? Anyway, thank you for the help. I will make the changes. Oh, and she deffinately will receive a free detail. These are well to do families in the foreign exchange program. She oversees and coordinates over 200 families and they will be getting together in June. Thanks!

Paint correction is Paint correction THATS ALL...

Detailing requires you to cover every aspect of subject at hand including Paint Correction, but Certainally not limited to Exterior Only a.k.a. Paint Correction

The phrase "Detailing" has been around far longer then the term "Paint Correction"

Some would disagree but I believe you can "detail" a car and leave the paint un-corrected. Now whether it's considered a good detail or not that's another story.

All of my details receive some degree of paint correction. In most cases I go for about 90-95% correction because I can achieve that quickly and it exceeds their expectations (and most of my competitions abilities). That last 5-10% is usually not worth the time & effort when you're doing daily drivers. Ultimately you're just shortening the life of the paint and that's not in your customers best interest.

Bottom line is there is a market for detailing that doesn't involve much paint correction. In the end it's all about what your customer is willing to pay for and what you are willing or able to do within the time they have paid you for.

The Flex will be my next big purchase. For now I need initial business to get started. You have to start somewhere. Thank you all for the input. :thanks

this exactly !

something is only worth what someone will pay for it whether it be service or product.
