Initial thoughts on the Autoglym 'twins'

JJ,

Have you tried adding a topper?

I use #16 as a topper after 3 coats of EGP, *I* really like the look, try it for your self.

Put on my third layer / coat today. Should be set for winter now.. if weather stays nice I may top with Liquid Souveran or S100. Sonus Das Buffing bonnet on top of the stock PC pad w/ PC on speed 3. I think that is one of the bonnet's recommended uses on its product page on autopia-carcare.com (using it to apply EGP that is).

Misted the bonnet with water once, then misted w/ EGP as I went. Went on very thin. I washed the windows and dressed the tires then went inside and did my ironing for the week. Came out and removed (didn't have a watch on to check the time, buy probably 45 minutes to an hour passed). Removed using an MF towel by hand. No problems removing it, except on the roof where I first started applying and it was probably a little thick. Light mist w/ QD and it came right off.

I just love the way this stuff looks. :bounce Almost don't want to top it because I like the look so much. Maybe I'll just keep layering. :nixweiss

I have found the effect of adding a wax seems to add more depth but also slightly darkens the colour. The difference is not dramatic and seems more of a personal choice.

For me, this winter I am simply going to add a few layers and not use a wax. I am very happy with my recent application and experiments.

Rediscovering Autoglym has been fun :)

Seems like the A-twins are popping up in alot of threads nowadays - do I sense a new craze happening for 2005?

I was very close myself to putting on some SRP for the winter but finally chose 1Z PP and Glanz. Autoglym are probably the best readily available off-the-shelf products over here in the UK IMO.
