Info about some off-beat waxes/sealants/polishes, please?

First; The stuff that's now "Four Star"; is that what used to be Platinum, as in PUPP, PUPC, or is Platinum different? That name change has confused me. I got some Four Star Ultimate products, UPP, UPC, and UGE, I guess I'll call it... what do I have?



1Z Metallic Polish Wax. Does the name mean that it is for metalflake paints? Or for bright metal? What is this product's purpose? (Not asked rhetorically.)



OK, now for the weird stuff:



Ultra Car Care Products Color-Brite Paint Cleaner (I found some discussion on this using "search", but not much information).



Ultra Car Care Products Super Finish UVA Sunscreen. A thin liquid wax, with carnauba. Claims to be useable in sun or shade, and claims to contain ultra violet absorbers. I don't know jack about the UV part, but the sun/shade claim is interesting.



PRO Polymer II Paint Sealant. My guess is a decent generic aminofunctional silicone fluoropolymer (I love typing those big words). The really cool part is that it's fortified with PTFE!



Autosmart Metal Polish. A green viscous chemical.





I'm going to be trying this stuff over the next month or so. If anyone has any input, I'll accept it.

First of all, if you haven't used UPP yet--what are you waiting for?! If you like slick, you like UPP.



Second, we will need to abbreviate Ultra Car Care Products Color-Brite Paint Cleaner. From now on, please refer to it as UCCPCBPC.
 
1Z Metallic Polish Wax isn't specific to any type of paint (metallics or bright, etc.) It's one of their least abrasive polishes (i think wax polish soft might be less abrasive) that also has a wax content. Alot of the 1Z product names are bizzare and probably just wierd translations from german.



I could be wrong here, but didn't they change the name at some point to Express Polish and then back to MP? Or am losing it?

Mosca- The Four Star stuff is currently in it's third version. The first one had crappy durability (think BF version 1), the second one (the one I have) is a thick, blue product with a cool smell, and the current version is sorta thin (haven't tried it yet). You almost certainly have either version 2 or 3. Thick is two, thin is three.



The Metallic was named that because back in the day only metallic paints had clear as their top layer (think German paint in the '80s). It works fine on all paints, but is very mild. There are two versions, the consumer line (rectangular can) and the pro line (larger, one-liter, round can). The consumer version, which has a cool pink color and a smell you'll either like (as I do) or hate, and is milder, with more wax in it. The pro version has more aggressive abrasives (still *very* mild), is a thicker product with a different (more neutral) color and a more "industrial" smell, and has much less wax.



MPauly- My memory is sorta hazy on the Express too, but I *think* it's a different product. The two MPs, the Express, and the WPS are all subtly different. Level of abrasives, type (carnauba, synthetic) and amount of wax, smell, consistency (thick/thin).
 
It looks like I have v3, 'Cume.



These are just more products that I don't really need, but I bought from aBay because a guy said he needed the cash. Now that I have them, I'm curious about them, like always.



A side note, buried in a completely different thread...



It's been almost a year since I last used Souveran Paste. The LVMOC had our season opener on Sunday, the Pocono Run; 145 miles of switchbacks and on-camber rollercoaster whoopty turns. It's a big deal, usually around 40 cars. This year we had 39. Anyhow, it's one of those events where you make sure your ride is standing tall. I did the Miata first with Gold Class, then the next night I broke out the Souv... holy heck, that stuff is beautiful. It makes the painted metal look deep, dark, and eggshell thin, all at the same time. It's been a while since I experienced the Pinnacle Glow. It's pretty impressive.
