Independence Day

I need a new job
Just wondering what everyone is doing for the 4th of July. It's always good to throw back a couple of cold ones and watch some fireworks. I wish it wasn't on Monday though, might be kind of hard getting up for work the next day.

Saturday I am planing on detailing the Mustang (being that I was entirely too lazy to do it at the Poorboys Detailing day) Im looking foward to testing out my new Scent and adding the Poorboys Decal to my car!

Sunday begins the Partying! Sunday Night I will be doing my Annual Fireworks display! And monday is Parade and another party.

then tuesday.. .well ....lets not rush that just yet!

Detailing on Saturday, cleaning my own rides on Sunday and BBQ my butt off on Monday, and plan on throwing back a few (lot) of good wine

No sales planned here. I want the Holiday to myself.

I haven't touched my car in months. So, it will be getting the full clay/polish/wax treatment this weekend. I haven't decided what I'm going use yet. I'm sure Natty's Blue will make an appearance.

The MG hasn't been polished since last year. I have the Menzerna kit to try out on it. I've seen FMJ look good on red, so the MG will see that. I just need to get the wife busy on polishing the chrome wire wheels on her little car. :)

I'll also be cooking up some ribs on Moday as well. You can't have a sumer holiday without my famous ribs. :hungry

As much as I would LOVE to throw back a bunch of cold ones...they will have to be Mountain Dew.

I have 2 commercial firework displays to shoot on the 3rd and 4th. Smaller shows, about $15,000 total in product. I'll have to shine up the Chevy before hand because setting up a display takes all day.

Hope everyone enjoys the fireworks, light some off yourself, fly the flag, BBQ, Drink beer and GOD BLESS AMERICA! :headbang :drunk :beer

Mike

Getting up early to see my wonderful girlfriend, Alyssa, who has been in South Carolina for this week. So get up and see her and then hang out with her all day for her parents 30th wedding anniversery. And then I suppose we will catch some fireworks.

Greg

Hey i'm gonna celebrate our freedom. Gonna have a party here at my place. I'll have the keg and grill full of chicken and ribs. got some fireworks for afterwards. And of course i'm gonna have my flag raise proudly. :drunk :drunk :drunk

im probably gonna be doing some house work at home with my dad.... then if were in the mood, we may take down the fireworks and play some of them. i guess as time has passed, ive began to outgrow playing fireworks. i dont get that thrill that i used to get when i was younger :(.

You make a great point right from the begining! A lot of us over look it, and take it for granted! CELEBRATE OUR FREEDOM! Lets not forget about the Guys/Girls that are Fighting for what we beleive in!!!

Zesty .... the thrill never goes away... You just have to start getting BIGGER fireworks. I have a whole display planned for our party! everything from ground fireworks, to a big Grand Finale!! Ive got Single shot morters, Double shot morters, and Tripple shot morters!, Ive got a 2000 shot arial birrage as part of my Grand Finale! The list could go on!

I think the only thing Im looking foward to this weekend is Lighting this stuff off!

So true! I love to set off commercial displays. Even at 30 feet away it feels like you get hit with a sledghammer when these 12" shells go off. However, nothing is better than giggling like a little girl when lighting off a small set of Saturn Missles with a Bic!!

Hope everyone has good one!

I am going to detail both of my cars, work around the house, and then BBQ and drink beer on Monday. I am going to stands around and talk about how lucky were are to have those brave people fighting for us. We have to remeber them on this day. Without them, it would be just another Monday.

Lots going on here!

Family is coming over for the weekend.

We'll kick things off Saturday with Pizza Hut for Dinner followed by seeing Star Wars 3 (3rd time for my better half and I!).

Sunday it'll be various local area activities throughout the day, and a car show and cruise that evening.

Monday begins with a Parade in the morning, and then activities throughout the day at the park, (Basket Ball, Swimming, Bingo, Live Music, Carnival, Rides, Food, etc.)

Grilling out the American Classic Hamburgers and French Fries for Dinner on the 4th, with Home made Ice Cream.

City Fireworks to music at dark, followed by a considerably large display of fireworks that we purchased a few weeks ago.

All in all, I think we'll have at least 4 hours total of Fireworks on the 4th!

Is that a little much? :D

Lots of time with family and a few cold ones! :)

This is my last full weekend in the states for a while, so I'm going to be busy. On Saturday, I will be at a drag strip with my friends and we will be racing and watching other cars race as well. After that I'm going to dinner and a movie with a few people. Sunday is still up for grabs as of right now, but I'm sure it will be pretty busy too. Monday I will be at a friends house, getting my BBQ on. I'm not sure if we are going anywhere to watch the pretty explosions though.

Well, it's been hotter than h__l here in Western New York for the last 10 days and I'm planning on getting caught-up with a few rounds of golf.

Temps have been 90+ and humidity about 75 - 80%, that's unbearable compared to our typical 72 - 80* temps and moderate humidity, and I'm not looking for sympathy 'cause some of you put up with this 10 months a year.

How do you do it?

My golf game usually keeps me in the trees (read: shade) & I can't wait to get out as often as I can.

Happy 4th everyone ..... God Bless America.

7/3 Orioles game at Camden Yards folowed by an evening hitting "The Block" in Baltimore for a little adult entertainment.

7/4 Washington DC. Greatest show on earth.

party tonight (Friday), going to a bar on Saturday, BBQ on Sunday (watching the fireworks too), BBQ on Monday.... I think I'll be too exhausted to go to work on Tuesday! :lol

lol, yea i know what youre talking about. ive been playing with some 2.5 inch and 5 inch shells i think, hehehehehehe. the thing is, i was sorta tramatized one time after i lit the shell and it didnt exact fly as high as it should of. it went about the height of a streetlamp and exploded and that wasnt fun, all the neighbors got mad at me. however, my 78 shot rings of saturn thing was really fun. i guess ill stay away from the dangerous/stupid crap this year. a couple years ago i hit my neighbor's car :beat :beat. as you can imagine, she was super pissed at me. see ya guys
