In your opinion...

Shurhold hands down.... Don't waste your money on others. Garry man up and buy a Dynabrade attachment.

I'm getting one and the new Dewalt you told me about. It's only a pound more than my G110v2.

Plus, from what you're saying about the cutting power, I will be holding it a lot less too!

Just tried the shurhold yesterday. Was suprised(and disappointed) that it did not have the power or speed of the GG6; I'll probably return it to the Geek and buy another GG6.

I love my GG.

Great price, I love the long cord on my GG. Great warranty although I haven't needed it yet. It seems to cut time in half compared to my old PC.

Riiight, I know what you mean. The reason I suggested buying the Shurhold(it was bought for a company that I advise for) was because I read that Barry liked it quite a bit. Mine came with a 5" bp and they use 6.5" pads; i guess I did not read the description very well, just assuming that it came with a 6" bp. But that could all be overlooked if it was as powerful as the GG6, which I own and like quite a bit. The bag is nice though.

I have 3 out of the 4 (no Shurhold). Once I got the Megs the pcxp was relegated to the brush attachment for floor mats and shampooing. Once I got the GG the Megs was relegated to 3" pads for tight contours and lower panels only where paint readings are usually thinner. I love the GG machine. Been going strong for 1.5 years, no issues.

LangMan37- If he (Barry) doesn't notice/chime in on this thread, I'll ask him the next time we chat.

I like the performance (not the ergonomics, mainly the switch) of the GG so much that I'm tempted to buy another one; mine has been dropped :o a few times and it's a bit the worse for the abuse. But when Barry stared raving about the Shurhold I thought I might oughta get one of those instead. No way I want to get this wrong what with all the polishers I have sitting around anyhow!

Why has't some company made an electric powered da with the power switch and speed control on the top so that they more easily accessible to a person's hands.

The closest you'll come to that right now is the Flex 3401, or a rotary with a Dynabrade attachment; I agree it would be nice to see more DAs with ergonomically placed controls. Based on pictures it looks like the upcoming Rupes DA's controls will be laid out with the speed control on top as well.
