In Wal-Mart, they have a foam gun

Wow! Great deal! Yep, sure looks like Gilmour just a different color. Sounds like anyone ought to carefully monitor Ebay.

That original picture did not show the black foaming nozzle. I would've been concerned about that but what you got is even better than what was shown! :up

Back on the original topic of the Wal-Mart foam gun deal... It sucks. Just went and bought one because i liked the looks of the suds on the blue civic. i started out with about an once and a half of NXT on the shower setting with the smallest soap setting dialed in.

No suds. hardly any soap.

Changed to the "center" nozzle selection and i got some suds, it was actualy pretty nice, i could feel the differnce in slickness. Until... i got to my front door, that's when the suds ran out. So, on more soap then i use for a two bucket wash, i didn't even get my hood, fender, and driver's door clean. I'm working on a Jetta mind you not a Mack truck.

After this i switched to Gold Class and dialed in all kinda settings still eating soap like its going out of style. All in all i used over 8 onces of soap. No good.

Plus i never could get completely clean water to come out of it, there were streaks on my paint from the left-over soap. In addition, the whole unit is pretty bulky and I will be returning it as soon as it dries.

I reallly like the soap gun in walmart. I tried it on the shower setting and I used the soap up real quick but when I switched to the soaker setting it gives a real soapy mixture. I put about 2 ounces in and set it on full soap. and coat the hood or body panel I am about to wash. The two ounces lasts for my whole car.

Have any of you Walmart gun guys tried diluting the soap first and then letting it use an excessive amount in shower or Center modes?

Update:

The guy I bought mine from says they have 3 left for sale at the ebay price. First three people with a CC that contact RLedford@diversco.com or Roger @ 1-800-277-3420 ext.362 can pick up a relabled Gilmour for $40.50 to their door!

Please post once you have ordered so Roger doesn't get 50 calls!

Do you have any pictures of the foam gun in action splattj?

This is about an ounce of NTX wash diluted to fill the bottle. I'm sure more soap would be foamier but I would hate to be wasteful. Sorry about the picture but it's really overcast/rainy. It has been since I got the foamer in :(

More foam is nice but I find the most important thing is to be sure you have a constant stream of flowing soapy mix, you can do so with diluted product in the container.

Thanks Justin ....

I just picked up one of these today from Roger @ Diversco/Pimpco; they are located 20 minutes away from where I work.

I haven't tried it out yet, but it looks like it is going to work very well. :up

I got mine for $34.65 including tax. ;) :bow

Whatever you do - don't purchase your foamguns from Safety Plus Products Inc. Terrible service - ordered mine on 4/11 and its still not here. Calls are going unreturned - person said it shipped on 4/13 but doesn't have a tracking number. Going to dispute this one with the credit card company and move on. Is Messner's the best place to purchase one of these?

I dunno about "best", but I bought my last two from them. Sorta pricey (and you have to call on the phone), but good service and you *will* get one :D

I purchased one of Roger's foam guns, I can't wait to use this thing now. (Too cold in Illinois) :D

Thanks!

Congrats :)

It actually is just a repackaged Gilmour. (It says Gilmour all over it, yet the box says "Buckeye")

From the picture on Messner's website, it looks the same as the Gilmour. Except the Gilmour has a brass quick disconnect which isn't shown in the pic on the Messner site. So, I'm not sure if the Butchers Gun has it or not.

Next to a rock bottom price on Ebay, I thought $55 plus shipping isn't bad. In my case, since I was able to buy it locally, it was $58 after taxes. It is the Gilmour and you must purchase brass quick disconnects at Sears, etc. The Butchers, as other have noted, is the same as the Gilmour except for the color. In fact, I'm not sure if any other company besides Gimour makes the type of of foam gun ( sliding brass adjuster) Accumulator, myself and others have.

Wow, so I got a really good deal on mine for just under $35 which included the brass quick disconenct. Even at $41, which I think is what splattj paid after shipping, it's still a great price.

Do you think this should be in the "Good Deals" section?
