That's mine :xyxthumbs that I just got the other day. I paid $69.74 with shipping.

Wow, very nice find! :xyxthumbs

Solid brass construction and a large bottle. Seems like a good buy.

Better hop on it - 1/2 the price of the "good" ones like mine, Blackmirror, Accumulator and BillD.

splattj- That pic looks like it is missing the plastic nozzle that actually makes the foam, but it could just be something slightly different from what I'm used to seeing

I'm guessing it is a tighter stream with the nozzle being smaller and brass. It was designed to use a detergent that is used to clean industrial food processing equipment so I guess I'll just have to hope it uses car soap well. I'm comfortable in guessing that it will. The description of it creating a clinging foam is promising. I'll take pics when it get it up and running.

splattj-OK, that makes sense. Just wondered since my foamgun looks sorta like that if I pull off the plastic nozzle (they call it the "foamer', IIRC). Let us know how it works.

Yeah, mine too. It has a distinct plastic nozzle on the end.

Accumulator, you've pulled your nozzle off huh? How does the gun perform without the nozzle? I thought for sure it was necessary to keep intact in order for it to work.

Splattj, let us know how it goes.

Anyone fed up with their foam gun, and willing to donate to a welsh autopian? lol

Yeah, you *do* need it on there to get the foam. Without the nozzle you just get a stream of soapy water, no aeration/foam/suds. Pull the plastic nozzle off of yours next time and see for yourself, it just pulls straight off and then snaps back on. Mine came disassembled, I had to put the nozzles on before I could use them.

I went down the car care aisle today to see what was new. They had this foam gun that is very similar to this one offered by CMA http://www.properautocare.com/suprosorino.html

I am sure there is a difference in quality as this was about $6.

I hope so because I bought mine for at least 4 times the price for the site mentioned... I havent used it yet... gonna check out Wal-mart to see if they are the same thing !:angry

This Gun is similar but upgraded from the one offered online. The differences are:

1. the nozzles. there are 3 orifaces on this gun , 5 on the online offering.

2. The trigger. The trigger on the one sold by Walmart is a "single finger" The online version is a handle type grip

3. A selector knob at the back of the online version.

I have not had a chance to use either gun. The Walmart offering appears to be a stripped version of the model sold by the online reseller. On the "deluxe model, there still appear to be oriface positions not filled (embossed symbols) I wonder who sells the full model. I bought 2 of the walmart models for 5.97 each. I will evaluate the differences at a later date.:(

Anyone think about using a new miracle grow sprayer for this?

The only thing different that I can see is the lack of a trigger to adjust flow... I may give this a shot to see if it works in a similar manner.

My wife has sprayed various soaps through sprayers like that, does it to keep the bugs at bay in the flower beds.

Those sprayers (and many other foamgun alternatives) won't produce the same kind of clingy suds. They'll spray a soapy water/shampoo mix, but it's not the same effect because those sprayers don't have the aerating/foaming nozzle.

Well, it came it and it's beautiful. Two all brass quick (dis)connects, an on/off/flow valve and a valve to adjust the mixture. It appears to be made by Gilmore and distributed by Buckeye International out of MO. I can't wait for the weather to clear up this weekend to try it out!
