Importance of a garage?

Look at it this way.. what decision are you more likely to regret.. not listening to "everyone" and insisting on a garage, or renting a house without one?



My guess is that if you get a garage you will be happy, but if you don't you will regret it.



I don't have a garage at home, and we have a big female cottonwood tree inthe back yard. The birds love it, and the tree sheds sticky sappy buds in spring and loads of cotton in the summer. My car would be so much better indoors! I would LOVE to have a garage!



Get one! Insist on it!
 
I insisted on it and gave my list of reasons to them and we are looking exclusively for houses that have garages now :) With all the gear I will have stored for AutoX and detailing we pretty much have to have a garage. Thanks for all the replies :)
 
I don't think I could ever be without a garage. I live in the 'burbs, so it's quite easy to get a house with a garage. I have a spot to keep my car free of snow and ice in the winter. Plus, once I heat it and insulate it, I can wash and wax in the winter. I never have to worry about finding shade either.
 
a garage around here is super expensive, well at least the house that's attached to it...someday it will be mine :)
