Well we got about 15+ inches of snow last night so I thought I would update with some some stuff that I did while I was banned
2004 BMW 530 6 sp, 4yrs old....17K miles car was just driven down from Chi town and I thought with the milage that it would be in pretty good condition, but of course there was a suprise under all the dirt when it was washed. I usually clay during the wash and prep, but I thought with the miles that It may be OK, so I ended up having to clay in a second step, through me off about a half hour. On top of that it has been 60-70 and extremely humid and rainy the past couple of days, so polishes were not acting as they should, another bonus hour tacked on. All and all, this detail took about 7 hours,
Wash/rinse with IF carglow
clay with Megs mild
wheels Megs WB
Engine degreaser/HF acid solution dresssed with HT quickshot
Mez IP at 1500 via makita and polish pad
Megs 82 at 800-1200 via makita and finish pad
megs 26 via PC at 4.5
