A few items to address:
Most of your body heat is lost through your head. Therefore simply pouring water over your head periodically is the easiest way to cool down (use the hose!). The neck cooler would help but why spend the money. Yes, wear a hat. As I mentioned heat is lost through your head but only if it's cooler than your blood! Also it will help reduce sun damage, something you'll pay dearly for later in life. Sunscreen is a must too! Oh, and that applies regardless of your color, race, and level of tan...
People drop dead at 80 degrees with 90+% humidity because they overheat. To cool itself your body secretes sweat and it evaporates taking heat with it. In high humidity conditions sweat cannot evaporate because the air is already saturated with water vapor. A fan speeds up evaporation so it's very helpful. Moisture wicking clothing is neat and you don't feel sticky but by removing sweat instead of letting it evaporate defeats your body's attempt to cool itself. Be careful...
Electrolytes and water- Gatorade is a great idea. Sugar is actually metabolized to water so it helps as well but beware of plain water. When you sweat you lose water, sodium, potassium, and chloride. Water does not replace the electrolytes sodium, potassium, and chloride. Many foods and drinks (soda, juice, tea, whatever) have sodium and chloride but are low in potassium. Gatorade has potassium so drink up!
Outlets. Any outlet that is up to code will not "blow out" so have not fear. You will merely trip the breaker which will require resetting. Check with your folks to see if you have switches or fuses. A breaker needs to be switched off then back on but a fuse requires replacing and will cost money over time (not much but they won't be happy if you go through them too quickly!). DO NOT replace the fuse with a higher amperage fuse to overcome blowing it (just a disclaimer). If you trip the breaker, unplug something and find an outlet that is still working to plug it in, then reset the breaker. Shut your PC off before resetting or you'll come back out to find it dancing down your driveway. :lmfao
