I don't envy the job of any mod when it comes to situations like these, but you are right that this is a discussion forum. People are always free to disagree with each other, respectfully of course. I don't know Bud outside of his posts here, but I guess I should at least give the benefit of the doubt for all he's done and trying to do for the industry. He has my respect for that, and Bud if you're reading this, I apologize for my remarks on this thread and the other as well.

Let's say this guy does actually steal one of your customers. He will hack up the car and your customer will in the end realize the difference between you and him. Not too shabby an outcome.



As far as the harassing phone calls. Thats nothing a quick meeting behind the local pub in the parking lot can't solve.



Luckily the only detailer in tampa who tried to bad mouth me at one time has ling since gone out if business. He contacted one of my customers after a local car show and told him about how many imperfections he saw in the car he could fix. My customer actually tried him out and called me after he received my postcard about it being time for a quick touch up. We scheduled a simple wash and wax and I saw the holograms all over the hood. I called him and politely asked him if he would like me to correct the problems someone else left behind. He then told me he did infact try out a new person and regretted it. We agreed to a quick one step and life is good again.



Just keep doing your thing brother. Sometimes customers stray, if your on this forum I doubt there are many in the area able to outdo you.

I wonder who that was, because I'm from that area also. Sorry to this happen to you.

I've never really been able to relate to people who have more confidence than talent who claim to be able to do more than they can. It's an alien concept to me. If this guy messes up people's cars, isn't he financially liable? Shouldn't this problem pretty much take care of itself? The thing that worries me most about this guy is letting him near a really valuable car with original paint that the client wants to keep unrestored, and then he goes and ruins the original paint.



Even though I have always thought social events around cars that serve alcohol are unwise, I have to say that that flyer he made up is very sharp looking.

This scumbag along with Rich Light of GI tried to sabotage my account with my local Aston dealer. I was at a Corvette show with "Ming" and on the way back to our hotel he made a comment about how sick he was about hearing about the Astons I had worked on. A few days later I was at Aston and the GM asked to speak to me and told me he and the owner had received an email from a guy in Denver stating I was talking sh!t about the dealer and Aston in general. Well needless to say two years later I still have the account.



All I can say is the guy is lucky he is not local to me. Who knows maybe he and I will meet face to face one day.



Anson, if your clients are dumb enough to have this idiot work on their cars then they're not worth having as clients. If they do end up coming back after using Andy hit them where it counts........right in the pockets.

There are different styles of teaching (I was a teacher for a number of years in Jr College) and there are different styles of coaching (I also coached for 25 years and patterned myself after Bobby Knight). You can't please everyone by what you say and how you say it.



What I have learned is to look past the personality of he who says it and focus on what they say that is most important in my mind.

I figured I was a "Auto Concierge" and with my over 23 years correcting finishes on exotic vehicles I am the perfect choice for all your needs..." then I step in..................Uh oh you have some "Splainin to do" ......my statement........"Excuse me sir, but Andy here is a fraud............did you know he left Denver Colorado with the quickness and changed his name of the detailing service from "ZENITH DETAIL" to my name "AUTO CONCIERGE" just last year and I have operated under the name "AUTO CONCIERGE" since 1994 and have my business documentation in my county with the DBA to prove it, here take a look".



Well also did you know Andy also fancies himself a NAVY SEAL, but in checking with friends I know who really are, not only could he not tell you what he classed up at BUDS(Class number) or who the CO was or Command Masterchief/Class proctor/Indoc instructor etc...... he was never in the Navy or any military branch............. also you might find interesting that he claimed his daughter had "Cancer" but in speaking with his X wife I learned this was not true either..................now do you really want to have a guy who is a serial liar(In my opinion of course) work on your car..............oh and the 23 years experience is bogus as well......he called me for advice on a Ferrari F-40 one time and was clueless on how to proceed and even though I do not have 23 years experience it is actually close to that numer total.



Prospective client looks like he needs to go to the bathroom about this time.................event is ruined............oh who is that coming in through the door ....it's the "Bing" and RC my Navy buddy who lived only 2.5 miles from Andy's old townhouse in Castle Rock Colorado(Suburb of Denver) RC delighted in jogging past Andy's place where he saw 1 Town car(Black) and 1 Audi A8 (Black) not the fleet of imaginary vehicles Andy claimed he had.................nothing like "Eyes on" intel from a real Navy SEAL Andy to confirm total a**hatness.



There is no way Andy I will allow you to rest and continue to bother good people like Anson, as you will never know when I am going to take that 2.5 hour united/continental flight into Bush Airport(Again) and zip west on the hwy 10 to your "Detail Studio"...............the look on your face will be worth the price of admission.

But always check up on your work, which always is top notch I stopped into Richs shop when I brought the Supra back up to our place in Vegas, It was about a year ago and I thought you guys were still good to go. Well come to find out (with a ear full of nonsense) from Rich, you guys are far from cool. But who is this guy Andy, I seen you mention L4P. What was his user name. There was someone that emailed me (from L4P) regarding if I was thinking of opening a complete detail shop up in yours/aarons area...He just sounded fishy and came out of no where. I never thought or mentioned of doing that, truly dont have time.



Some things that guy Andy wrote was just too much. Even got my blood boiling, which I know yours was too. Lol. Some people just need to learn the hard way. There are way to many guys running there mouth off not thinking there might be some consequences. Some guys just go to far, wish you could just take them into the ring. But other then that hope all is well. And Aaron mentioned you had surgery a lil while back. I hope you had a speedy recovery and you good to go.

I just had someone that was referred to me from a friend that owns a Euro Shop (in LV) that Rich did a complete detail on, and the customer was NOT happy by any means. I didnt believe he would put out work like that, especially the price he charges. But now I realize after reading all the issues. Just wow.....

Just recieved a PM that reminded me of the time I had a screaming match with Todd Helme over the phone about Rich in which I DEFENDED him............ now let it be said that I MADE A BIG MISTAKE which I take the full brunt thereof, as I knew what/who Rich was from the beginning but I thought he had some good points to the product line and the rest could be worked out.



Todd of course can back up my version of the conversation but I also understand if he cannot or will not with his position @ Auto Geek, basically it was a thread he and Brian Brice commented on DW about GI and they said he was a liar....................... and anyway at the end of our phone conversation I told Todd if Rich was caught lying I would leave him alone and well the rest is history.



Of course I recieved the phone calls and texts from Rich in which he said he would "Kick my a** etc....... and he even insulted my wife with the exact verbiage "Crazy Andy" used in a PM on L4P one time(Oh nooooooooooooo no connection there Rich/Andy at all) as Rich lies so much(In my opinion of course) that he cannot keep it all straight and with the "Bing" around who has "Total recall" on everything said we catch him up on everything thus "Bing owns the Ming" lol.



I and someone who owns another detailing forum recieved calls from a "Lawyer" to cease and desist................although in my case I said "Stop right there".........what is your bar assoc number and website............."The lawyer" hung up with the quickness just like the "Lawyer" who contacted Anson in Houston Tx, you have two a**hats that are "Peas in a pod" doing the same strange and outlandish things to promote thier companies with both trying to latch on to my good name (Rich telling people he taught me detailing and Andy using Auto Concierge as his name now) now some of you have sent me PM's saying "Why do you care"............................ well in the real world big companies sue for millions of dollars over this type of shenanigans and they need to be exposed for what they are doing continually until they stop.



Detailing and the detailing product biz is no different than any other, where you have some that will do and say anything to get ahead with little regard to the damage to others or ultimately themselves as in this case, want to thank the mods again for the "Bully pulpit" in which the "Truth" is told once again.

I thought I had it bad dealing with the jerk in SoCal who steals pictures from Superior Shine, gives his business almost the same exact name as mine and has a domain name only 1 letter off. He sold thousands of $49 details through Tippr, Living Social and Groupon in February and March and I'm still getting angry e-mails and phone calls from people PO'ed he never showed up. At least he isn't in my area so my customers aren't aware of this clown.



Never had any problems here detailing with Josh or Rick (detailscubed) here in the Dallas area. More than enough work for all three of us so we can communicate and share knowledge.

These calls along with my 15 minute conversation with the "Detective", I am sure will clearly demonstrate who and what you are.....................I love it................... everytime you throw a grenade at me I throw it back and it explodes in your face.
