I'm about to join the WERKSTAT user's club!

According to Scottwax, the Werkstat twins beat the Klasse twins in both durability and appearance. I have never used Klasse so I cannot add to this but I hope he sees this post so he can expand on it.

OK. I think I'll stick to the Werkstat twins. I think I'm gonna end up with Prime, AJT x 2, FK No. 1 x 2 (new car glaze), FK 1000P x 2, FK 425. The paint is white.

I have both Klasse and Werkstat in all kinds of varieties and I've found Werkstat easier to use and better looking. Both are very durable and I'm not sure which is more durable.

A question for you Werkstat users -

I have Prime and AJT and I like it just fine. I also have KAIO and KSG. I understand that they are the same company.

I don't know if Klasse and Werkstat are the same company and Werkstat is somewhat independent of Carlack in that they have their own products that Carlack doesn't have.

I have found that Werkstat products overall are easier to use than Klasse (especially AJ/AJT vs SG) and have a warmer, deeper look.

hey Scott!

I have 3 quick question for you.

1) Do you think I need a polish with Prime? it kind of plays the role of a cleaner and light polish does it?

2) My car is new but I see some very light swirl on it and it is mostly cause I used some foam applicator and microfiber applicator, is there a way for me to avoid creating more swirls and does prime fill them up? or should i get something else?

my car is a 2008 mazda 3.

3) is there a point using a carnauba like Natty's red to top or S100, carnauba jett or just forget about it because it may not make much of a difference.

thanks in advance.

I have used all their stuff and still keep using their Prime Acrylic and Strong it needed and there AJT and AJ..

P strong is nice to clean but PA adds some shine..

I cannot add much else but I have stop all other LSP on the cars...But I do add CG5050 to add some deep color..

I thought I read that they were the same company. No matter. I like Werkstat products. KSG is not very user friendly. I think I'm going to use KAIO as my interior cleaner.

I also wanted know if it was worth the effort to put other products on top of AJT. I had FK's No. 1 New Car Glaze and FK 1000P in mind. I can't seem to find any information on the New Car Glaze. I will give it a shot this weekend and see how it goes.

Just get Acrylic ket Trigger and Acyrilc Jet the latter is more durable and gives a different look so between the two get the finish you want.

I disagree that the look is different. The two products are very similar. Mainly AJT is thinned down to make it easier to spray and buff.

I use LSP's whose look I like, I'm really not into topping at all. I think Werkstat products look very good and I don't really see much to gain topping them. If you like the look of FK's stuff, use it instead.

Keep it simple. Use the LSP that has the look you like, just apply it more often if needed (due to lower durability).

I do like the look of Werkstats alot. I have Prime -> AJT x 3 on my wife's new white E350, and it shimmers. Reminds me of looking at light reflecting off of calm water.

But, I have the trying new product bug now, and want to experiment.

I think I'll leave the Werkstats on her car. It really does look quite good. Can't imagine how much better it would look. I'll experiment with my white 4Runner instead.

I made my purchase yesterday

-Werkstat acrylic kit, but I replaced the prime A. with regular Prime.

I also bought additional bottles of A. Glos and AJT in case I would run out.

I figured that prime will last a little longer.

the last item on that list is Autoglym vinyl and rubber care. I figured I would try it.

They have some great products, you won't be disappointed

Just a quick question in relation to Prime Strong.

Are it's cleaner's chemical or abrasive?

Both. Werkstat Prime is an AIO with chemical cleaners. Prime Strong is similar to Prime but with very light abrasives added to it.

I would have to agree. Mix toping AJT with FK 1000P would probably not add much. If you want to experiment with FK 1000p, I would just use Werkstat this time and next time you detail your car, strip Werkstat off and use Finish Kare.

I couldn't agree more.

Still loving my Werkstat on the Lotus!
