I will order my WERKSTAT products very soon

I think I will go mainly acrylic.

prime acrylic

AJT

A.GLOS

for the current users, should I go for AJ instead or stick with AJT, what is the real ease of use, "look" and durability.

has anybody used natty's red or carnauba jett on the AJT?

(I have about 60% of my Natty's red remaining)

(I have a white mazda)

For a newcomer to the JW line, AJT is the easiest to use product. After a fair amount of practice (and the right applicator), I've gotten pretty good at applying AJ like a WOWA product, which is very easy and fast. I have Prime Strong and Prime Acrylic and I've used 10x more Strong. It works well on paint for maintenance polishing (like those super fine spiderweb swirls) and gloss improvement. Sortof like a finishing polish and sealant in one. Are you doing this by hand? If so, you may want to use regular Prime, as it's supposed to be the easiest to work with. Also I suggest trying Satin Prot. It's my favorite trim and tire dressing, but is a bit glossy on the dash for my taste.

hey Wfedwar,

yes, I'm doing this all by hand. I wasn;t sure I needed Prime strong but I figured if I am going the acrylic direction I would use Prime Acrylic.

how long did you get out of the JW products procedure?

did you ever top it off with a carnauba like carnauba jett or natty's or a similar product?

If you're doing it by hand, I'd go with regular Prime. Prime, Prime Strong, and Prime Acrylic all have acrylic sealant built in, but Prime Acrylic and Strong have more of it. Prime is made to be a cleaner and base coat, while the others are more designed for stand-alone use. Considering you are working by hand, I'd use the easiest one to apply and buff off; the easiest one to use is supposedly regular Prime. The other two can be used by hand, but since you're not going to be able to work it in that well, you'll also have more to buff off. Any gain you get from the increased polymer in Prime Acrylic would be less than a quick application of AJT. If you ever decide to get a polisher, I'd move up to Strong at that time.

Was your other question about durability? I get a realistic 4-6 months on my truck, which is parked outside 24 hrs a day. If you top it off every 1-2 months with AJT, it will last indefinitely.

I've topped with Collinite 915 with no real improvement. The only topper that I seemed to like much was Z8, but that's only very slight and on certain colors. I've pretty much stopped topping it with anything.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the information.

next week I will order

Prime

AJT

A. Glos

I have been reading alot and this seems to be a quality product especially for my white car.

I purchased my Werkstat Prime Strong a few years ago before I had a buffer and it wasn't too bad applying by hand. The DA buffer makes it easier obviously but I didn't have too much of a problem.

thanks for all the information guys!

now I am just trying to make sure that I do not want anything else from the retailer because I d not wish to pay for shipping else when I could have bought it along with my Prime,AJT and A Glos

I don't want to send you off, but I used to use Jeffs to and then moved to Zaino which was great but kind off a pain for all the stuff and steps, but I would seriously step into the products from Chemical Guys!

Jetseal 109 x 2 = DROOOOOL....

It's easy to use and gives a perfect finish + durable protection!!!

Hello koen_dr

what didn't you like about Wersktat's products?

I currently am using Jetseal... it's good... not sure about CG... too many damn products that I can decide what to get that is essencial....

some are very interesting but damn....clear sea, spray, wet mirror finish.... 50/50... come on! easy to get lost .

A question for you Werkstat users -

I have Prime and AJT and I like it just fine. I also have KAIO and KSG. I understand that they are the same company.

I know AJT takes much less to cure. I think 1/2 hour compared to 12-24 hours for KSG. Other than that, is there any other difference? Any difference in looks or durability?

According to Scottwax, the Werkstat twins beat the Klasse twins in both durability and appearance. I have never used Klasse so I cannot add to this but I hope he sees this post so he can expand on it.
