I'm a Zaino convert!

I like Zaino (I think I had like 7 coats of Z2 Pro on my car once upon a time), but I still like the looks of carnauba a little better. Zaino's very reflective, but for my eyes doesn't have the depth or warmth that I think a quality carnauba wax brings. It's still in my arsenal, but for pure looks I'd prefer something like RMG topped with NB, CMW, or Souveran. However, when it comes to appearance and durability, I can't imagine anything being better than Zaino. And I'm a true believer in Z8..that stuff's great!

I'm pretty impressed by the gloss, clarity and sharpness of reflections with Z2Pro- no matter how you rank your particlurly favorite products- Zaino ends up being at or near the top.

I agree. I think most people who have used Zaino like it very much and would rank it highly. I have preferences, so would say it's near the top for me.

Have you tried Z-2 Pro yet? It is very wet, same for Z-5 on black/red/dark green...

I've used Z2 Pro, but haven't yet used Z5. I may go back to using Zaino for the winter months because of it's superb protective qualities and durability. Perhaps I'll give Z5 a try then. Thanks :xyxthumbs

I might have to give it a try again . I was'nt thrilled with it before. I think it's a nice product , but I seem to get better result's with other product's that are more to my liking as far as a visual effect. Maybe I'll try Z2 Pro & Z8 , but I've got so many other I want to try too like FK stuff & JW stuff.

Like many peeps on here I've tried hundreds of products and I always seem to come back to Zaino sooner or later. "Turn heads" looks, ease of application and durability. The only downsides are the initial cost and lack of availability in larger sized containers.

no one mentioned durability. i am happy with the zaino durability for a daily driver, parked outside...

I do want to try jeff's stuff since it is about 1/2 the cost and there is no mixing involved. Any experience on the durability of this? i'd love to see some tests of durability like what zaino had in the early days, ie the NSX wax test and the guru reports. We need newer data!

You don't HAVE to use ZFX with Z2-Pro. I opted to use Z1 Polish Lok then apply Z2 directly over it which creates that bond you get with mixing ZFX and Z2-Pro.

But you do need it if you plan on multiple applications within 24 hours, right?

Wow, I am really surprised at how popular Zaino is getting on this forum.

I know! 2 weeks ago, all the hype was about FK. now Zaino is back and in full force. People are all over it.....me included. I have this theory that it has something to do with what GSRStilez is using in his click n brags :p

Statman - have you ever tried Menzerna FMJ? I am debating which to try on a dark green BMW 5 with medium swirls after polishing the swirls out.

No I haven't, but I have been debating trying it...I won't need it on my Porsche, but I might try it on my Lexus.

I want to try Zaino also. What would I need to buy as a first time user? I want to get Z-FX, Z-PC and Z-2 PRO. I was going to use Menzerna IP, what is the Zaino equivalent?

Also, where is the best place to get Zaino? Thanks!

I have tried almost every top brand of waxes...P21S, Rejex, NXT, Meguiars, FK1, etc. I just did the full Zaino "thing" (inspired ny Virtigo). I am amazed. The depth of shine...awesome. I went for a ride and got bugs all over the front..they just wiped off. I am a true Zaino convert! Granted it took a fair amount of time ( let me know if you want my process). Here are some pics...better resolution on my link. I'm no photographer either.

I'm glad you're happy with Zaino. I too am a part of the "Cult Like" Zaino followers. One thing this site did to me was lead me to many many processes and sealants over the years, and I can say I too have almost every sealant from every hyped product on this board. However, my 2006 new year's resolution was to finally narrow my detailing arsenal to one or two LSP's and alas I have returned to my first love in Zaino ! I use the complete Zaino line for exterior and for the interior as well. So i can say, you're converted to a good choice.

I have tried alot of stuff, like many on here as well, and for my car (Silver GTI) Zaino is the way to go.

I did just acquire some Natty's blue and put it on top, just for some quick results and the Nattys seems to make the flakes in the matallic come out a bit more. Zaino (Z2Pro and Z8) seems to leave a liquid, hot, wax effect on my paint.

Regarding durability, Zaino was still beading prtety good, but the lower sides of my doors (where the snow and all the dirt accumulate) seems not to bead even after one dirty rain. I have to pay closer attention what happens after a wash and how water acts on those panels, since it might be the dirt that is not beading.
