Illegal stuff in a customers car?

I worked part time in the detail department of an auto body shop that speicalized in high end cars.

A BMW 850 had been in for some body work, and when I told the tech I heard a rattle in the rear of the car when I drove it to the wash bay, he siad nio problem, I'll just use the tool kit in the car and tighten up the source of the noise.

After the car was washed an dried and pulled into the detail bay, the tech came over and popped open the tool kit in the trunklid of the Bimmer. There were no tools inside, but there was a bag of what was probably cocaine and a Glock 9mm pistol!

The tech closed up the tool kit and went to get a tool from his work station, I vacuumed and detailed the exterior.

The customer picked the car up later that afternoon. After he looked at it, he asked the body shop manager for the people who worked on his car... the auto body tech, the masker, the painter and me, the detailer... we thought we were screwed...

We were called into the office and the owner of the car thanked us and gave us each a crisp $100 bill as a tip for a job well done.

I also once found a couple of "sex toys" inside a car that one of my neighbors bought for his daughter. The previous owner was a retired schoolteacher!

I ALWAYS remove my firearm when I leave my car to be worked on. I consider that something that a responsible gun owner does.....Beside the fact that I dont want people getting ahold of my firearms.

That guy certaintly knew how to keep people quiet about what's in his car...

LMAO!!...thats some good stuff.....i am yet to find anything illegal in anyones cars but you know what...when i do (abd any of you do too).....none of my/our business...they are paying us for a premium service....none of our business to get into what they do on the side...move the stuff outta the way and go about doing what we do..

When I worked at the BMW dealer a customer got a pissed off because his pistol was missing. Turns out one of the hydro technicians stole it.

Another detailer found a crack pipe in this young woman's BMW. She turned out to be surprisingly hot too.

About ten years ago, while detailing a bentley mulsane, which was owned by a famous comedian,i found a plastic bag stuffed with £4000,under the front passenger seat.

There's nothing worse than having some tard working on your car/house/etc call the cops because they found an "ILLEGAL MACHINEGUN PISTOL BABY KILLER" or a couple rounds of ammo.

As for real illegal stuff, I would think unless it's something that indicates a serious crime has taken place probably better to just leave be. Otherwise if they know you called the cops there might be some retaliation.
