I have been debating this in my head for months, so I thought I'd see what my fellow autopians thought...

The parking lot where I work is a small fenced off dirt lot. I HATE parking my beautifully detailed car where it gets dirt blown all over it! I can't decide whether or not I should start parking on the street or not. The neighbor hood isnt the greatest, and the street is rather busy... I like the peace of mind I get from having the car in a fenced area (although it is open), but I hate having throwing 4 hours of detailing away every monday!!!

What would you guys/gals do in this situation?

Thanks a bunch.

Without a doubt I would park in a fenced area. There are so many stupid drivers on the stree that I have no idea how they got their driver license. I have friend that parked on the street and got hit by a car that was making a U-TURN. The car just took off without leaving any note. Why would you want to take these chances? You can always wash the dirt off afterwards. I feel you about throwing away hours of detailing though, but there's always car cover that you can consider.

Stick to the parking lot!!!

It's a lot easier to get rid of some dirt than it is to remove a dent or a key scratch. There are lots of twisted people out there and a well cared for WRX is almost certainly going to attract their attention.::mad:

Quit your job!

Seriously though, I would probably park it in the dirt. Parking it on a busy road is going to get it dirty too with cars driving by blowing up dirt and stuff and there's always the risk of getting hit by idiot drivers.
