What pads do you use most with your rotary?

My L5-S1 is killing me!
I'm looking at the Edge 2000 6" yellow, green and blue pads. Which do you like best for rotary use with products like SSR2, 2.5, 3, dacp, etc? (the only thing I'll be using the rotary for is cutting mostly as I will be using a PC for a fine polish and waxing). I have one of each foam compound right now and to be honest they seem fairly similar...

Is it possible for instance that a yellow pad might leave some fine swirls from the rotary where as a green/blue would not? In that case would the green or blue be aggressive enough to cut?
Need a little advice please.......

Best advice I've heard!

To add to that, remember, use the least aggressive method first. Sure, you COULD put marrings into the finish by using a yellow pad at 1800, but anytime you use a rotary, you typically follow up with something else.

There is a time a place for all pad and product combos. Sometimes, you need the yellow pad with SSR2.5, at other, a green with 2.5.

I typically use a more agressive pad. The pads I have go from wool to Edge green. I feel using a rotory for light polishing is pointless. The lightest I'll go is SFP/SSR2 with a green pad, anything lighter gets done with a PC.

Thanks for the advice so far guys.
Let me ask this too.....with LC pads, there is a big difference in how "soft" the foam is between yellow, white and black. With the edge they are all fairly "hard". Does this mean their aggressiveness is somewhat similar? (I suppose this is a question for the manufacturer:dunno)

Great for the 20 minutes I've used it so far.:lol
I plan to, uh, agressivly polish (abuse) my hood with it next week since it will be getting a repaint July 12. You wanna come by sometime next week and try it out on my test panel hood?
