Ikea storage idea

Since joining here I've been thinking of new storage for my supplies. It is not a huge amount of products like some members have.....i've searched and seen, no names mentioned!!

I did use just a large plastic box before......but no longer :D

A quick look round Ikea and I found some containers labled Trone, their description says something about shoe storage......dunno about you but I wear my shoes not store them!

Anyway they are slim (space saving :up ) and mounted on the wall with just a couple of screws. Dead easy to bring into the house when cold too. I bought 3 and they can either stack on top of each other or side by side and utilise the space on top of them.

I've only just unwrapped them so they are not shown in the garage. I'll now attempt to attatch pics........don't laugh if no pics appear........please?

Hmmm...Nice product selection first off :).

Do you have any other pics of it. I see it holds them well, but how about from different angles...opened and closed?

Thanks for the awareness of this product BTW.

And one final pic.....for now........only allowed one post per minute

tick tick tick tick........that should be it.........

I just thought, someone is gonna ask "what size are they?"

So I've been and measured one :)

Height is 15 3/8 " or 391mm

Depth (front to back including handle) is 7 1/8 " or 181mm

Width is 20 1/4" or 514mm

The depth in the bottom of the opening part is 5 3/4" or 145mm

The width is 18 3/8" or 467mm.

All sizes measured to the best of my ability

Ty.. Now I just need to build an Ikea ..

No need to build an Ikea, just go here....

http://www.ikea.ca/webapp/wcs/store...=3&langId=-15&catalogId=10101&productId=10916

or here

http://www.ikea.ca/webapp/wcs/store...=3&langId=-15&catalogId=10101&productId=11710

or in US here

http://www.ikea-usa.com/webapp/wcs/...=12&langId=-1&catalogId=10101&productId=11710

not sure why, but you can only buy 3 pack and not single ones online in US

Can't even buy online in UK :(

Hmm, neat idea. I like the fact that they're not prone to dust collection the way products stored on open shelves often are.

Too bad I'd fill them up so quickly! :p

I was worried that they'd waste too much vertical space, but at 15.5" high it' about right, since some spray bottles can get awful tall....

I use an Iris 4-drawer, 26 3/8"H x 12 1/8"W x 14 3/8"D, http://www.staples.com/Catalog/Browse/Sku.asp?PageType=1&Sku=809566 . Only costs about $15 and has casters to make it easy to roll around. Might pickup the 7-drawer model, 41 3/4" H x 12 1/8" W x 14 3/8" D, if the big drawers are at least the same size as my current 4-drawer model.

Metro shelving That is what i am getting come dec. 25 ;) a five shelf unit, 74"W / 96"H / 24"D

as for dust... if they collect dust, then to me they arent used enough to keep laying around on the shelf :)
