if zaino is the best ...

Zaino is so good you should move somewhere that you can get it, LOL. I'd give Autoglym a try, only based on what other people who I respect say about it. This is one product I'm dying to try, but this is the slow season so I'm getting skinny right now. Dec/Jan isn't the time to be trying new things, since I spend some profits on researching new things. And not are their only no profits but no customers because it has been raining and raining out here. Do a search on Autoglym and you'll probably be as impressed as I am. And if it's local, heh. Better yet, tell us what is available to you and then we can make suggestions.

Sonoma County, I moved here from Santa Barbara 5 years ago though, I miss that place! I actually travel back there every once in a while to do a few details and come back. Where in SC are you? Your a pro too right? All I can say is I miss my customers in SB. If there are any pro's who know their stuff, you can make a killing! Lot's of fancy cars and people who want their cars done every two or three months. Most people have 4 or 5 cars, and nice ones. If I didn't buy my home here I'd go back. You do have to be mobil though, most of these people want you to do it at their house. There's not much competition either, just mainly car washes who offer cheap hand washing, but that was 5 yrs ago.

Axe, welcome to Autopia :xyxthumbs

I dont think there is any one best product and one of the things which is frequently quoted here is the results come from the prep work. The Last Step Products are really just the icing on the cake.

Using products X or Y on a poorly prep'ed car is always going to give unsatisfactory results.

Exactly. Focus on the prep and pretty much any sealant is going to give you excellent results. If you are looking for the best sealant as far as durability goes, Zaino it is and Klasse is right behind. If you mean best in appearance, then that is far more subjective. You'd also have to toss in 4 Star UPP, Poorboy's EX-P and Wolfgang Deep Gloss Sealant in with Klasse and Zaino.

I was curious as you were talking about rain and in LA, we haven't had any for a few weeks before yesterday. I'm in the land of 100k dollar cars and movie stars. I just wish I could grab just ONE as a client.

LOL, I was reading this thread and marvelling at how informative and civil it is, and then I got to Bill D's post!

Thank you, Mr Moderator, for leaving the wheat and separating the chaff!

I'm a Yank, and I like Autoglym. Dead easy for me to use and looks pretty good, IMHO.

You say you've tried the resin, but what about its twin, Extra Gloss Protection? If you still have the resin, perhaps you could pick up a bottle of EGP and see if that doesn't produce the look you are after.

The only best product out there is the one you like the most. You will never get us to all agree on a single best product!

oh thanks very much everyone for your responses, and az57chevy that will do very nicely, will go an buy something from them straight away .... bought the Z2 for clear coat (which I think is what a 2001 BMW is)
