If you won 1 Million Dollars, what would you buy detailing related?

A big detailing unit. And I mean big! Just open it up for detailers who don't have a real covered place to detail.
Have every polisher available there for use and some laundry machines for the MF's so the wives don't complain anymore ;)

An 80 by 60 garage with a 20 by 60 space sectioned off to be a polishing/finishing man cave combo area, flex rotary, the entire Dodo Juice and Polish Angel lines, the Rupes cart with outlets and everything on it, a ton of pads, a Kranzle pressure washer, and a few trucks to detail.

So is next weeks givaway a million dollar autopia gift card? :autopia: I think i can get a lifetime supply of everything with that. Or i would hope so.

Glad to help Acc... I didn't mention that I'd put that tin of FK1000P on the passenger seat of your new Audi S5...

Heh heh, thanks but NO thanks :D Couldn't give me (or my wife) a new Audi, our cut-off year pretty much remains 2005 (pre 2005.5 restyle). They've just changed them to much for us, don't even smell the same as they did for decades.

I would make my garage into basically a clean room with a super duper air purifier/air filtration unit to reduce dust. Excellent lighting...

JHL- That "clean room" idea sure is appealing! Not sure just how well it'd work out IRL (IME, a few nasty winters and the shop just isn't the same no matter how many hours you spend cleaning up), but appealing nonetheless.

And yeah..lighting tech has come a long way since I built my shop in the late '90s...that could be a nice upgrade.

I wouldn't buy a darn thing detailing related. I'd pay other people to take care of my car.

Ah yeah, I thought of that too...if only there were Pros in my area who could meet my standards...

But even then it could be tricky- scheduling for when *I* want it done.

I would buy a house with an attached garage. From the garage, I can drive my car into another room that is glass enclosed. Like a glass shelf where you put your trophies. My car would be parked there after every detail. Of course the enclosed glass room would be ventilated, dust free and filled with massive number LEDs all over.

On the other side of the glass would be my living room.. where I can spend my time indoor and also enjoy the view of my freshly detailed ride :D

Now that I think about it, imagine having that kind of display for your customers after you do a 2-3 stage polish for their car. Who wouldn't be blown away?

Anyways, back to dreaming :)

Reminds me of this!

Hey if one of us makes it, we've got some good ideas to use from this thread. :)

Not a bad idea at all, million or not. You could start a nonprofit detailing organization and collect using "OCD research" as the cause/mission...
