I polished my wifes SUV today with SIP and finished with 106FF on a white pad. It doesn't get any wetter than that. The LSP mostly protects the look that you achieved with polishing, but LSP's can have a look of their own. They just won't have nearly as much impact on the look of the paint as the pre polishing and polishing stages.

Obviously if a wax is much easier to use but shorter durability, I won't mind using it more often than a wax that lasts longer, but is not as easy to use so long as they both protect just as well.
