If you had to pick... CLAY or POLISH?

Hmmm. I put on the polish, which was much more difficult to buff off, but it really didn't seem to do anything. It could be because we had a lot of clouds move in and I just can't see the difference. I didn't take a picture yet because of the bad lighting conditions, but I'm gonna go ahead and put a coat of wax on tonight. I'll top it off with a final coat tomorrow, and have an "after" picture.

A few thoughts on the Deep Crystal polish:

Make sure to wipe it off before it dries. Also, on some paints in good condition it just doesn't do much; it's more dramatically beneficial on paints that aren't in such great condition. You wouldn't be the first person to use and and wonder why it didn't do much of anything ;)

^ That makes sense.

Now, I've applied the first coat of NXT, but it seems to be "uneven" when the paint is viewed in low-light. I applied it thinly, waited 10 minutes, did the "swipe test" and then buffed off with a 100% cotton terry towel. When that didn't seem right, I tried it with a MF buffing towel, which made no difference. Would the second coat after 24 hrs help that?

Go for a second coat. Better yet, put the car in the sun long enough to warm up the the first applications oils and thin them out, then rewipe with a MF. Then go for your second coat. Repeat the sun exposure after your initial wipedown......
