I VM'd my car 2 times last night. I waited an hour between coats.....I love this stuff...it really out shined my Zaino! Now I have my first coat of Nattys on it now, and when I get home from work....I'll take it off then add another coat. Is there a cure time for VM and Nattys. I thought it was 24 hours for Nattys....so thats why I let it sit on over night! I'm fuggin' hooked on detailing again.

AFIK, there's no cure time for VM. It can be used as a wo/wo off product. I'm not sure about the necessity of VMx2 though. VM's cleaners and light abrasives will remove your first application so one application of VM should be enough.

For Natty's like many (but not all) LSP's, I like to give 24 hours between coats.

I know why you put 2 coats on. After the 1st coat you were like this:bounce ... And then you wanted to be like this:bounce :bounce

So i take this stuff is good. As i need a sealent for after glazing. If im correct? I use speed glaze and want to put a sealent over.

I prepped with my Zaino Clay, then buffer on the Vm with my PC at speed 6 (as scottwax suggested), then I did it again....because I'm sick in the head!....then Natty's as a topper.

VMx2 is fine. Probably gets the surface a touch cleaner with a little more wet look.

Natty's x 3 was the Ultimate for my red GSR. Your paint looks literally like it was just finished being sprayed :)

VM x 2 is where I would stop IMO :). The second pass is to fill in any missed spots the first time around for the most part. I only do 1 coat of VM, but sometimes do 2 coats of S100 with a 24hr gap inbetween each coat.

Folks, question for those that are putting multi coats of Nattys.

If this has been answered somewhere else, forgive me. But, It would seem to me that the additonal coats of Nattys is merely a benefit optically, visual eye candy if you will. I dont see how practicing that method could extend the wax protection any..except for instances where you might have missed a spot.

So was that your motivation for the multi coats ?

Thanks in advance.

Multiple coats of any paste wax will do two things: 1) cover areas that you missed (like you said), and 2) thicken the overall layer for added protection and longevity. I think anything over two coats might be overkill, but two should be just right.

Exactly! In addition, even though another pass with VM will remove the wax protection in it, the second pass will only improve the light polishing and cleaning effect.

I wait 24 hours on carnaubas before reapplying. I'd stop at 2 layers since additional layers aren't affecting durability, only appreance and I think once you have two layers on, any addition applications will have a very minimal effect.
