I used HD Cut today at SEMA...

Garry Dean

Garry Dean Quality!
You people are really going to like this stuff!

I sanded with 3M 1500 grit, then compounded with HD Cut, paired up with the new HD wool pad, on the Flex PE 14, and that combo destroyed the sanding marks! It really did a fantastic job and left an awesome finish. I almost forgot how to operate a rotary! I was quite rusty...

I stoped in this morning and Barry had sanded a panel with 3000 and I tried the HD Cut also. Had a LC mf pad on the Flex 3401. I liked it and thought I did a fair job until Barry followed me and made it look a lot better ( he kicked my *** ) .Finished out better for him but I'm looking forward to picking some up and getting it dialed in.

Paul great meeting you today! We should get some dinner one night this week, that is if you care to hang with a fat guy in Vegas. Garry glad you got to play with HD Cut. After you left, I scored a secret prototype Microfiber Pad from a company. Wooooohooo They will be there waiting on you in the morning to play with. They are nice!

I love secrets! I will be there!

Sweet Gary, I dropped by the booth this morning as well and got to chat with Barry and Juan. It was great getting to meet you guys.

I'd be down for a dinner. Thurs or Fri night let's get some food. That's if I am still alive after my Halloween party tomorrow night ... *gulp*

So a rotary with a wool pad was about to take out some sanding marks? Well, yeah. lol

I'm planning on buying HD Cut when it comes out. I hope it works as well as I expect.

So I used my small sample bottle of HD cut I got from Barry @ SEMA on a 997 Porsche rear bumper that has been re-sprayed that is shrunk -up pretty bad.

I compounded with a Rupes LHR75 11mm air polisher and a Surbuf pad and it cut real well and brought back the clarity, will use it on a Black Mercedes SLK-350 next week and see how it goes. So far as a compund it is working well in my opinion(It will be hard to believe I am saying this in some peoples opinion but I keep it real always). Not much dusting either..................

How would you compare the level of cut to M105/M101, or other such "benchmark" compounds?

As much cut as M105, did not cut as fast as M101 but left a better finish than M105. To me it seemed similar to Menz Fast Gloss 500 without the dusting.

I will try the HD cut on other vehicles but I do not have that much just the sample bottle Charlie, so far I like it.

Gotcha. Thanks for the feedback Bob.

Is there any update on the release of Cut? I'm wanting to try it but M101 will be hitting the mass market soon...
