I think I'm addicted to Poorboys...

91LSMAN

2002 Chevrolet Corvette
Ahhhhhhhh it's an addiction. I just ordered more!! I ordered:

SSR2.5
Microfiber Starter Kit
Microfiber Chamois

I plan to use my PC on my dad's Acura RL next weekend. Should be fun. I plan to use:

SSR2.5
SSR1 (only if necessary)
PPP
EX
Natty's

I will of course post pics when I'm done. :cool

91LSMAN , yes Poorboys is very addictive. Your combo is perfect I just did one H2 with the very same lineup and I'll be doing a H2 SUT on Wednesday with the same stuff. Great minds do think alike. :)

Yeah it's great. I did the same lineup on my Legend, minus the SSR2.5 and it turned out great.

Do you guys wash after using SSR? I know other SMRs say to wash after using them but I don't see anything about washing after using SSR.

The SSR line has no fillers or oils. There isn't a ned to wash the car after using them.

Yeah, no need to wash after using the SSRs. They leave the finish perfect for EX or a similiar product.

If you want to maximize the gloss and slickness of finish make SSR1 you're last step before final finish. Based on what I've seen using the products PPP doesn't match the gloss SSR1 leaves behind (on medium to dark colors and especially metallics). I would reverse the SSR1 and PPP steps in the process.

Try it with SSR1 then PPP on a small section then reversed on another small section (adjacent to the first)and check for yourself. Judge it by both visual appearance and slickness to touch.

I may just skip PPP and do:

SSR2.5
SSR1
EX
Natty's

I was thinking of doing that anyway even before groebuck suggested it. But I was thinking about it mainly because of time constraints, but those time constraints actually just went away a little while ago. (Something this weekend got cancelled)

I'm thinking this is how it'll happen.

Saturday Morning:
Wash

Saturday Evening:
Clay
SSR2.5
SSR1
EX

Sunday Evening:
Natty's

During this time the car will not be driven.

We'll see what happens though. This is also contingent upon the SSR2.5 getting here Saturday morning.

Sounds like a good plan! Be sure to post a pic or two.:mohawk

I know I am addicted to them! I am addicted to using them and smelling them! I found a bottle of Natural Look in my car last night and made me new girl friend smell it. LOL She loved it too!

Would anyone recommend the claybar from Poorboys...or do you guys use another brand of clay with Poorboys products?

Right now I use the Mother's Clay Bar because it's what I have. I'm not just going to waste it. When I need a new one I'll probably buy the Poorboys one though.

The Mother's and Poorboy's clay bars are quite similar, but the PB product is a better value.

I think we're all addicted. Especially the natural look I put it on my dash about two weeks ago and all I have to do is wipe it off everynow and then and it still looks great.
Question
What pads are you using with the ssr's?

Scott,
I thought Steve said there were PD's in the SSR line?

I should order some PB products and try them out on half of my hood.

Detailbarn,
Any pictures of SUT or H2?

Eric
