All Cummins owners must register here, it's a rule. Your highout put motor is an animal that will lasts forever. I traded my 04 because it was a cali edition and they sucked, the fuel injectors didn't spray the diesel like your HOP does, so the oil was filthy after 3k and there was no power, and add a vibration. Anyhow, I wouldn't hesitate to buy that rig, remember when we use all the gas up diesel owners will have other options and gas motors will be in museums. Also, don't get nothing but a Linex liner for your bedliner. If you can find fms give it a shot, it is almost the same thing but it's hard to find.

First off. NICE TRUCK!!! What is the towing capacitly? I bet you could to a nice camper and not even notice that it's their:D

AIO and SG

Z2pro with Z8

AIO and Collinite insulator wax

Just thinking that you might want some pretty good durability after you do all of your prep.

Dodge.com say the towing capacity is 15750. So just about the same weight as a Boeing 747.hahaha

What would you recomend for the Chrome pieces(I guess its Chrome) on the front grill??? And what would you use for the fender wells???

I just ordered the AIO and SC, Z2pro and Z8. All I need now is to find out what to use on the fender wells and when im going to have time to apply the "goods".

That is... a lot of truck. I don't know if the following fits you, but: I don't understand why some will buy a huge truck that will never haul anything close to it's capacity and never go offroad. It's certainly not for the handling, smooth ride, or performance ;)

Another thing: you probably could have bought a nice house with a garage for your GTP as an alternative to that truck :P I am making a (possibly incorrect) assumption that you live in an apartment based on the pictures :) On the other hand, wax doesn't do much to bring out the shine in concrete siding :chuckle:

Anyways, I suppose it will be fun having all that bright red paint shiny, smooth, glossy, and all that jazz. :xyxthumbs

Diesels are well known to get three times longer wear on average from their gas sisters. Gas motors average 100k except modern motors seam to be doing better, and diesels have traditionally gotten 300k, but Cummins seams to do better than this on average too. As for your tranny, good luck it's not an Allison and you more than likely will replace a couple tranny's long before that motor gives out. That is if you have the auto trans, if you have a manuel transmission, you will get much more life out of it. The only unknown is your new HO motor, because nobody knows if they are going to last as long as the less powerful ones that many people get a million miles out of. Use that 5/30 grade (weight) synthetic oil after you break the motor in. Also look into a bypass filter- http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/bf.aspx

You will learn all this and more on that TDR website.

Im way envious......I dont need the duallies though but could sure use a 2500 Diesel for towing.......600 ft lbs of torque is pretty friggin amazing.....

THe detail will take a bit longer. This past weekend I just did my Z71 extended cab (indigo blue) and I have about 8-10hrs in it. I luv the Z p/c, Z5, Z2pro, Z8 combo.

Congrats. I want to stay positive. The thought of 10mpg makes me cringe. That thing's a farm truck it was meant to be covered with mud hauling straw or horses not being coated with Klasse AIO.

I do feel better about the hemi in my Durango now. It's MPG seems economical.

Thanks Guys. Ever since I got the truck everyone I know is moving. I had two friends that needed "my help" to move in to their new apts. My brother is moving to his dorn next week. Three friends need help moving to their dorms in two weeks and my girlfriend is moving to her new apt. in a week and a half. :nixweiss

Nice! Hope you have lots of space to park that thing. By the way my brother has the Duramax GMC and he gets 16-18MPG so you probably won't be spending too much more gas $$$ compared to the GTP. I imagine the Cummins would be similar milage. Have fun.
