2001 Yukon with over 112K miles. Since I will be leaving for college in the next few months I decided to start getting the cars protected for my departure. The Yukon has been under my care since we first got it, but has been neglected over the past few months due to two shoulder injuries so the oxidation and containments have built up. I also began teaching my dad proper car washing techniques so he can maintain them during my absence.

303 on all plastics

APC wipe down of door seals

Clay Magic to remove baked on break dust

1:4 APC on Wheel Wells

#845 on Wheels

Armour All Tire Foam on Wells

I hope to add another layer of #845 to the wheels and another two layers to the paint before I leave in August. Hopefully that will hold it until I return and my dad can keep it clean. Excuse the pictures, but it was very overcast. I will try and get beter pictures when the sun comes out.
 
Very impressive, I wish my car was white sometimes. Yours looks *new* with 112K whereas mine looks quite used up with 120. Having cared for it yourself from new is really what matters though, 95% of the damage on mine was caused by someone else.



BTW, what college are you going to? As a college guy, I like to see if any other college Autopians are moving into my area (Fl Tech, Melbourne FL).

I broke it into a 2 day detail. Started at 7 at night when the sunset washed, clayed, wheels, wheel wells and taped it off and finished around 10. Day 2 was polish, wax, windows, plastics. Spent about 4 hours because some spots required a second application of #80. So about 7 hours at a lesuirely pace. Im not looking foward to working on mine because it was recently repainted and has tons of buffer trails and swirls. I expect 12-16 hours.
