In 2010':
Blackfire Wet Diamond with Polycharger - 16 oz x x1 x x$29.99

I have sinced moved on to coatings but man, when I did use this sealant :rockon

Same as everyone - I hadn't realized that the price had gone up so much, I'm still on the bottles I bought when PAC closed.

To me, BLACKFIRE Wet Diamond represents a tremendous value. It goes on so thin with so little product usage that you should be able to get more than 40 coats out of a bottle. If you apply it with a gold jeweling pad and a PC you can almost double that amount as 3 small drops will cover 1/4-1/5 a normal sized car.

Or, you can just get free 2oz samples every time you place an order from Auto Geek. Each 2 ounce sample should do a car a few times. I've never paid for BFWD, I have a ton of those little sample bottles all over.

I used to do that for WGDGPS 3.0. Time to switch over to BFWD.

I can remember testing BF shortly after its debut. Tested in Jan 2002. My thread is still on the other Autopia site, pictures of the test car are no longer available.

I liked it then, but it is a completely different product now and I have become a die hard fan. The changes are awesome and the products work great for me.

Over the last few years I had settled into a regular routine with a few products that were meeting my needs. July of this year I got the bug to catch up on some of the newer products hitting or on the market and BF quickly went to the top of my favorite list.

On a side note the customer service provided by this site is the best!

The formula has been improved (4 times) since its debut, way back in '01/'02. Thanks for you support and opinion and most of all, WELCOME TO AUTOPIA FORUMS!

Just wondering, what is the shelf life of BFWD if kept at room temp? The stuff I have is in a clearish bottle and the blue dye always settles at the top. I shake it and it seems fine.

FWIW, I recently used a 8 year old bottle of BFWD and it worked fine. This is before Polycharger (TM) was added to the formula so the shelf life was longer. To err on the side of caution, I would say 2 years with Polycharger, although you will probably get far longer.

Polycharge messes with the shelf life that much? I would've thought it would make the product life longer.

Todd, I was under the impression that new "revised" version BFWD did away with the PolyCharger because the new formula was much better and didn't need it.

Wet Diamond AFPP is still Polycharged (as is Polymer Spray) and others. Some products in the BF line up that were previously Polycharged no longer benefited from it with the newer formula (the tire dressing for example).

Yeow! Me either......Great stuff but $40.00? :passout:

It was ALL IN THE MARKETING PLAN...Create a demand and high level of interest and then you can ask about what you want.

I see this in the CA wine industry, a small lot winery gets a few awards for their wine (s) and the price of the wine goes thought the roof.

BF is no different. :D

I have always thought BFWD was great, I'm wondering if-is it worth doing a secound coat, like a hour after you do the first.
