I passed!

About six months ago I left a management position with a very large company to do more work and make less money in law enforcement. Well, the academy is finally over and this morning I took the state test to be certified as a peace officer (TCLEOSE). I've been nervous about this test for the last week but I passed with an 82! I had the second highest grade (highest was an 86....did I mention this test is hard?). Anyway, I'm pumped. This is a huge weight off my shoulders. I'll be sworn in next week and I start the field training program in about two weeks.

I'll be a cop in less than a week! Woohoo! :lol

Thanks guys! If we get take home cars I'm sure I'll spend a ridiculous amount of time detailing it!

kerrinjeff - I went to OHS. Are you from around here?

Take home cars might be a thing of the past here pretty soon. Gas prices are starting to hit a lot of departments.

Frito, is odessa the same " jurisdiction" as Tucson? My 2nd cousin is a volunteer. If you ever see him, his name is mickey dowling. Awesome guy!

Yeah, take home cars are about the only thing my department doesn't have. Don't know that I care too much about take home cars, though. Always seemed like it would be a target sitting in front of my house.

baseballlover1 - No sir, Tucson is about 500 miles from Odessa IIRC. Is your cousin a reserve police officer?
