I passed...

UPDATED July 22, 2008 - see last post

I passed the Texas Life, Health, and Accident Insurance exam this afternoon.

I graduated December before last with my MBA from Texas Tech University and have been looking for the right career opportunity. That opportunity presented itself a couple of months ago, and I've been preparing to make the transition. I will be joining Harris Financial Group, Inc. and New England Financial - insurance (life, health, disability, etc.) and investments (retirement, mutual funds, managed money accounts, etc.). I still have to pass the Series 6, Series 63, and Series 65 exams, but it should just be a matter of time.

My girlfriend accepted a position with the Amarillo Town Club as a Wellness Consultant (personal trainer) and has a great opportunity with them as well. We'll likely get engaged soon and be married within a year.

We're moving to Amarillo within the next month or so...busy packing, looking for housing, and on and on.

Fasten your seatbelt! The LAH exam is a walk in the park compared to the next group of tests you'll need to complete for your licensing.

Congrats!! I wish you and your significant other well in your career endeavors! It sounds like an exciting time for you and the ones closest to you. Live life to the fullest while you are able.

I had to pass the Series 7 and 63 (and one other, can't remember the #, lol) in my job...no sweat though. :D

Best wishes...

Regards,

Mike

Update - I passed my Series 63 exam two weeks ago and passed my Series 6 exam today! What a relief after some set-backs (time wise) and a few weeks of really tough studying.

Time to celebrate:D:woot2: :getdown

Congrates, Zane! Are you all finished with the certification now?

Thanks! I still have the Series 65 left (Investment Advisor Rep for managed accounts, etc.), but it's not quite as urgent. I'll get it done within the next few weeks.
