i need help

First off, I didn't take your comments as bashing anyone. I really don't think that's your thing. :)
As far as Calgary's stock, he has an awful lot of what I would consider excess inventory or as you stated, "the exact same thing".
The same products under different labels is something else entirely. Very few of us are aware of just how much of that is happening. It's pretty easy to get caught by the relabeling thing.

Your comment about Menzerna polish being "fantastic", is a good example of how opinions differ. My friend at the body shop had some and didn't like it at all. I never asked why, but he went back to Meguiar's and 3M for his polishes.

Hey, without trying new products, I would still be using Simonize and would have arms like Arnold. :)

This has been a very interesting thread because for years i have been using the same products from a local distributer. But lately I have used some products from poorboys and autogeek and noticed such a large difference in performance that it is hard not to order the next "best" thing that everyone is talking about on this forum. BTW just ordered some FK1 sealant, because beemerboy says its good. So if anyone is planning on jumping off a cliff later I'm sure I'll follow.

wow i go to work for a few hours and i come back and this has taken off..

Ok well this may be a long post.

Thanks evreryone for the kind words and discusion.
I have a ton of products becasuse I am always wanting to try somthing new. I love to try new things. Just the way I am. I dont want to wait 30+ waxes to use up some jars of wax.
Also I have fun playing with diffrent waxes and what not. Some days I love to use a shine wax and others a deapth wax.. its part of what i enjoy in detailing. How i can use somhintg so similar yet so diffrent to get the desired results.. its just fun.

As for qd's I have tried a few. I really only use them as a clay lube. I now stick with a sprat bottle with onr and water.. works great. I still have the other bottles becasue i dont often reach for them first becasue I will have my onr solution with me.

as for the polishes. I am glad i have tried many. I have tired megs, mothers, pinnacle, optimum, ect. Each has its own traits however i have really come down to using one. Optimum. i love it. since i found it i have not purchased another polish.

I try to give away alot of stuff but it always seems to end up back on the shelf. I have alot of freinds who will use it once or twice then give it back saying its not there thing... i try to help but its just not somthing they want to do.

Also i do buy things in larger contanors.I know what i like now and do order in gallons or larger... it saves me money and pro or not that is always a goal.

I do like to try new technolgy as well. There are many advancements in the world of detailing chemicals... like the new clear sealents. Perhaps they could be the next best thing.. there is only one way to find out.

as for doing this as a pro and worrying about cost... i dont. I dont do alot of detail jobs, i dont do this full time. I get maybe one or two a month and those are really just to allow me to replenish the stock I have.
I do this for fun...
PEI- thanks for the tip. I posted the same pic on another forum and was told right away to fix it. It is now ok. but thank you.

finnaly- by no means did i mean to show off... i enjoy looking at other peoples collections so i thought I would share mine... if it cam across as though i was trying to show off i am verry sorry. I did not mean it that way..

So thanks everyone for the kind words.. and hopefully no-one has any hard feelings..

Where did you get the Makita from? Was it under 250?
These people seem to have some good prices for the Makita. Should be under $200 at today's exchange rate. They don't ship to Canada, but maybe a friend in the U.S. could send it to you for Christmas. :)
