hello, anyone in RHODE ISLAND a true pro? and want to detail my black mach? it has tiny clearcoat scratches from improper dealer hack wash!! i'm scared to have my car pro buffed by regular local hacks.....i need someone who is obsessed with detailing and possibly loves stangs...to treat her with respect

I'm in Boston, MA. Not much I can do to help but you can fix that stuff yourself, it's not that hard.....just time consuming. Purchase some 3M Swirl Remover from Autozone or something, read this site and give it a whirl.

I'm frequently in the Seekonk/Rehoboth area and would be happy to help you out. All the car's I've owned have been black save for one, and I own a 2001 Firehawk so I understand the respect and concern you're expecting to be taken on the car. At the very least I'd be happy to take a look and show you what needed to be done.

I, too, would never ever take my car to anyone that I know of locally - too special/too risky.

I go to Seekonk as well once in a while, more so in the spring/summer. My buddy words at a speed shop and does quite a bit of work there in the warmer season.

no i put nxt on it....and used #7 in some spots...i can still see the swirls and such in my garage under light...the car pulls like an animal though....i'm to scared to buy a buffer and buf it...i dont have detailer experience....its a task trying to wash and dry properly without putting anymore..i bought the microfiber dry towels and viking mf polishing towels....i had the walmart mf's but ahhh dunno if i wanna use them....i just want it glass like it should be..i prob make it sound worse then it is...without lights if u look angled it looks like glass..but with my flourecent lights it shows where those hacks used wrong towel or whatever

do u use a rotary buffer or dual action? or do u hand remove?...i dont think i want a rotary on my paint....i'm like anal when it comes to my car i dont even use warranties:(

Tom is a good guy, he uses a random orbitial (Porter Cable).

Keeping swirls off the car is easier than you think, just time consuming. Wash with ALOT of soapy water, rinse the wash mitt after every pass, do the bottom half of the car after. Use thick soft cotton to dry the car. You can go an entire winter washing the car every weekend and keep the car looking pretty nice, just matters how much time your willing to put into it each time you detail it.

i do i use the gold class shampoo, sheepskin washmitt...and the big blue mf drying towel..and i just ordered that viking towel
