I love Klasse AIO

The reformulation or not of Klasse AIO has been kicked around for months with no real definite answer, just lots of conjecture and opinions.
To me, it seems like a simple solution is to use it if you like it, use something else if you don't. Kind of like most detailing products.
It's not likely that this thread will come up with any definite answer either.
The discussion is fine, just don't let it become too personal. It's only wax.:D

It's a cleaner/slight polisher get it right :LOLOL j/k
With some protectant as well. The protectant is actually acrylic and the correct term would probably be sealant.
The term wax seems to be one that everyone understands. If you start talking about cleaners, they think Fantastic, mention polishes and they hand you the Pledge.

There is no solution, seek it lovingly. (Anyone remember who that quote should be attributed to? I don't.)

I agree that it is frustrating to try to get any info out of Klasse USA. I doubt if they will change their low profile based on a few disgruntled internet posts.

It seems that Carlack might be taking a more public US profile with the introduction of the Prime/Acrylic Jett. That's why I mentioned the Carlack products link.

Customer service seems to be very good from the new Jeffs Werkstatt distributor. Jeff doesn't deny the Carlack association and pretty much answers all questions you have about the product. He's available via phone or by e-mail, and will even discuss other products with you.

Now, I still don't know if the products are any good. Doesn't come until tomorrow.

Even with the old Klasse, I'm not sure Carlack is exactly the same, but it seemed to be based off the same formula. Carlack manufactures Klasse, but may have made slight changes for the U.S. market, since many have noted slight differences between AIO and Carlack 68. There's no such thing as Klasse in Germany.

BTW, I'd also like to compare Werkstatt Prime with the new AIO.

Abroad, Carlack 68 (similar to AIO) is slowly being replaced by a nano version. This nano version is the formula Werkstatt Prime is based off of, I believe.

Werkstatt is also coming out with more products soon, like a QD. It may end up to be a product line much like Menzerna USA's - mixed with German and USA developed products, but under one name. Speculation of course, but Werkstatt is very open about discussing the origins of their products.

VOC regulations change through the years if Meg’s#16 was able to stay the same/comply using their ingredients for 50yrs why can't Klasse do the same in only 30 using their ingredients.

I'm not sure what you are trying to say here. The thing is Megs wasn't able to comply that is why #16 was dropped. The VOC regs are a recent thing that is why Megs could continue with #16 for 50 years. Now with VOC regs in place #16 was non compliant and dropped. It's kinda hard for Klasse to drop a product, they only have four. They are AIO, SG, a wheel cleaner, and a vinyl and rubber protectant. AIO and SG are the main offerings. So if they are not compliant with VOC they would have to be reformulated. With Megs they have an abundance of alternatives to replace #16.

I prefer to use and discuss products that work for me rather than continue on about a particular product/company that Anthony A has an issue with.

If Klasse doesn't work for you, there are many other fine products out there to use.:)

Just to be clear I love Klasse AIO. If I didn't I would not concern myself for a second with a Klasse reformulation. My problem is I don't think Klasse is providing enough info or providing it in a way that answers the questions about this. So all you have to go on is what people who use the product say or your own experience with it. One way or another the truth will eventually come out.

No other car care product company is as hard to get info out of. Most you can just call up and ask how VOC will affect their products. I have done this with Collinite,3M, Mothers and a few others. They are all open about what products are going to be dropped or reformulated. I had a lengthy discussions with both 3M and Collinite about this.

A Google search says that it's a Zen Proverb. It's good advice, thanks for posting it Charles.

I used AIO today for the first time, and I am very impressed. I have a silver Mitsubishi Eclipse GT (the 3G, 2001) and I got some AIO on the reccomendation of a lot of you here. I used the Meg's Even coat MF applicator, and I had to use 2, since the AIO was cleaning so much junk off of my WASHED TWICE AND CLAYED car!

I had a spot on my driver's side fender for the longest time that would not come off...Just a little dark spot, I don't know what it was, but it bugged the hell out of me. AIO took it off with a few swipes. This stuff is freaking amazing. The biggest suprise came when I used it on the rubber around my windows. DEAR LORD it was dirty! I scrubbed that trim when I washed the car! TWICE!

I can be fair and suspect that most paint cleaners work this well but I am SOLD on Klasse AIO. I will say that I'm not sure it really makes a difference in the final look after applying NXT as an LSP (except for the better surface prep). I do not have a PC (and I don't have enough WAF to get one soon :)) so I can't really polish the paint. That reduces the WOW of the final look.

Bottom line, AIO=Good (for me)!

Jamie

I was a bit hesitant to try AIO since I read horror stories about sealant glaze being tough to use. Luckily only SG is tough to use.

I too love the look of AIO and any LSP. I feel as though I'm cheating my client's if I don't use AIO on the vehicle as a base for a LSP.

So far I've used AIO / #21 Synthetic sealant, AIO / EX-P, and AIO / NXT Paste wax. All have looked great.

Clay/AIO/LSP is always a great combo.
