I like Z, but like P21s over it better!

and like Meguirs FD over that a whole lot!

I will wrestle the camera away from the wife and put up some pics.

I loved Z5 over my bright red F-150. It actually looked like neon ! After a few layers of it I started to think it had a plastic quality. also rain didnt want to jump off the paint. Yes it would bubble up but it would not fly off even at 55 mph.

Add the P21s carnauba wax in a super thin layer (like I did with Z) and in less time than it takes to drink a 16oz water you have sex! Deeper, richer, and definately lickable like someone else said!

I dont have a pc so it has all hand rubbed. I kind of like it that way too. Lets me get close so I can see imperfections if any pop up.

Then I hear about Meguirs FD. I just had to have some based

on what you all have said. I couldnt figure it to be better than Z6, but what the heck.

It IS better than Z6! It's like epoxy or a thin layer of crystal!

Man I gotta get some pics. Thank you all for everything. I really am enjoying the attention from neighbors and folks at stoplights!

"hey man, is that like 30 layers of laquer?"

:shocked

Wax over Z

Yea, me too! I did have numeous layers of Zaino on my Red SC430. One day, I was reaching for the Z18 clay and grabbed the Souveran Paste. So I figured, what the hell, others topped their Z.

So I put up to two coats on and holy crap! What a change! With Z under it, it looks deeper/wetter and just rich. I too also got my gallon of FD and love this stuff way better than FI.

I have a gallon of Clearkote QS shipping, so this should be interesting FD vs QS.

I too have to get the damn camera on a nice day to do a set of new shots!

I also found that Megs EK in the wheel wells and underside worked so well, that dealership is just amazed on how it looks on the rack. They asked if I flip the car over and detail it that way

Also going to change from 303 to the 1Z cockpit premium to see how well that works. I still use the 303 in the engine bay!

So far, Stoners MSLT on the tires is also holding out. Instead of spraying, I use those tire dressing applicators.

Next VM/CMW may have to next judging from some of the results.

Have a good day and I too now enjoy more shine.

Deanski

Yeah, I've noticed this as well, and don't particularly like that behavior. However, some Final Detail over the Z will substantially improve this, and it also gives it more depth and gloss. Plus, if you want to put more Z on, all you need to do is wash. Next time you start from scratch, try some FD on the Z before you break out the carnauba. You might find you don't need the wax. :)

another view, same stuff. I really like this shine. also, I forgot to say that this is a very overcast no sunshine day. I think it might be better when the sun is out!

Looks damn good on your RED!

Man, I gotta get the pics of the SC430 with the Souveran Paste on the Z. After a little Megs FD, this thing just is so glossy!

Soon, will try the QS when it arrives. I will add distilled water as I hear it ships in concentrated form.

Next, VM/CMW.. You see the pics of the Yukon? Yukon with CMW

Thanks Deanski,

I can only hope it gets better and not worse with the second cover of P21s and fd. I have 5 coats of z5 now, so should be ok that way. I need something to spray in the wheel wells. I have stoners to clean the windows and the P21s winshield solvent booster in the solvent tank.

Not sure what to use under the hood and how yet. I need to read some more threads!

I use Megs EK for wheel wells and underside. It dries hard and does not attract dirt as other dressings. Try that one!

Today it rained. Rain all over the place. It quit before I got to work and I was thrilled to see the water just gather and disappear off my hood! By the time I parked at work the hood was dry. so was the rest of the truck!

and I saw no road grime or dirt from the rain spray either. The truck looked like I had just washed it! (well most of it anyway)

That FD is some sweet stuff! or was it the P21s? either way you just have to try it!

I had use FD before great stuff but the water beads and slid from your hood I think it was P21S.

It is one of my favorite waxes.
