I woke up this morning to find out that some punk keyed the side of my passneger side door. The scratch is really deep and runs about 14 inches long. I only have one way insurance so i cant make a claim. I'm not sure what to do in this situation. should i try to buff it out or do i need to get the car repainted?

man i'm so mad right now!!

I have had very good luck on scratches both my silver PT Cruiser and white Dakota using factory touch up paint and LANGKA, in fact the deep scratches come out better than the small ones.

Langka? I haven't heard one positive post from a regular here whom I trust. Not a single raving remark. Not yet anyway. I know that Brad B. doesn't care much for it at all. Laters.

I know there is already a Swine flu thread but I didnt want this to get all caught up in that thread. So I decided to make another one.

My best friend died yesterday morning from a mix of H1N1 and pnemonia. He was 29 years young.

I spoke to Steve last Monday, Nov 2nd. He said he was coming down with a cold, but other than that he felt great and everything was going awesome. He was probably the best car salesman in the state. He averaged 20 cars a month! He was selling Mini's, BMWs, Jaguar and Land Rovers. That wednesday, he checked himself into a local hospital because he became very sick and was throwing up blood. By Saturday, he had slipped into a coma and was fighting to survive and his body was developing blood clots. On Wednesday Nov. 11 God took the pain away and he passed away.

It came as a total shock to me and everyone around. I had no idea he was even in the hospital when i received a call from a close friend and learned about his death. Just because it happened so quickly. I still dont "believe" it, that i cant pick up my phone and call my best friend. :(

Its truly not fair and it puts everything in to perspective just how quickly one can leave this earth with no warning.

The only thing I can say is, if you get sick, please please please go see a doctor to see if you have contracted H1N1. If so please take it seriously, you can end up like Steve. Especially heed this warning if you are between the ages of 15-35. It seems to be killing more of that age group than anything.

Here are a few pictures of Steve. He loved everything Automotive, from bikes, to classics, to the new "fast" pickups, especially Ford Lightnings.

He was definitely a jokester and prankster. He loved making people laugh and just loved to have a great time!

This is a little collage of all the people that really got together and hung out back in the days when we first started our local board. My vehicle at the time, was the white and blue ford bronco.

He was an amazing human, with a huge heart. He loved many things, his cars, his life, his family and most of all his friends.

I very sorry to hear about your friend Mike, Everyone in my household had the flu and it hit my wife very hard this year. I been to the Dr for my flu and my lungs were just starting to full up, and lucky for me I got the right med's for it. I still on med's till next week. Everyone needs to be very careful this year with the flu and get their shots this season. My condolences to his family and to you Mike.

This is terrible news Mikey. I'm so sorry for your loss. Your freind looked liked a real likable kinda guy that I'm sure will be sorely missed

Keep your chin up, I'm sure thats what he would want

Sorry for your loss Mike and thanks for thinking of us and passing on the precautions we should all consider. Some, if not many of us, have unfortunately experienced close, personal losses like that and if we can help you at all let us know.

I'll have some additional prayers for you, your friends and family and all the others who may have been touched very deeply by Steve's passing.

Sorry for the loss of your good friend.

I had bronchitis last week. I rested and took my Rx. Missed a whole week of my FT job, but you have got to rest when you are sick.

Mikey,

I am so very sorry for your loss. It looks like he was blessed with many people who loved and cared for him, especially you. I imagine it was pretty hard for you to share this with us, and I wholeheartedly thank you for troubling yourself for the sake of our welfare. Don't forget to take care of yourself. You can bet I will be praying for you and everyone whose life was touched by Steve. Puckman said it: we are here for you.
