Sorry to be so late looking at this thread, Mike , but WOW does not do justice of this transformation of an iconic Porsche 911.

Questions:
How bad were the dents that your dent-man had to "fix"??

What happened to your Boss G15 polisher?? I assume you have it back OR did you trade it in on the new G9.

I noticed you mentioned that the G21 you used for correction "badly hazed" this finish. Are there times when you would NOT prefer to to use such a long-stroke polisher and was this clear coat on the 911 softer that it did haze so much??

I know Merlin has his detailing business named "Miracle Detail"; the same could be said of you, Mike. It is truly amazing how far paint/clear coat correction has come with the advent of microfiber pads and new-technology/chemistry abrasives that have replaced/obsoleted the need to wet sand badly scratched and swirled finishes. It is also a testament to your detailing correction and perfect surface finishing abilities, Mike.

Sorry, just saw this. Yes the 15 issue has been resolved. I don’t worry about the hard or soft thing. I used the 21 because the defects were pretty severe. So as a result of cutting the defects out, the paint was hazed. Using such a large stroke and aggressive pad and product, this is not unusual. So most of the haze was removed using the same machine, but you could still see a marring of the surface, that’s the reason for the smaller throw machine. Which by the way, would’ve done the whole job, just taken a hair longer. Another reason to still keep the small throw machine! The dents were just door dings. I just wanted the new machine. My old one is now set up with 3 inch pads. And thank you for the kind words!
