I just tried Menzerna Intensive Polish and Final Polish....WOW!!!

I wish I tried Menzerna products sooner!

With my PC, the Intensive Polish took out some defects that SSRs, Megs 80 and Optimum could not take care of! I did one panel at a time with the IP and an orange pad, then I switched to a white pad and used the Final Polish....one panel at a time. All I can say is wow! The car looks like it was just painted....and I haven't used my Pinnacle XMT180 to top it yet!

Should I hit it with the Final Polish one more time....or should I just got the the XMT?

I had the same feeling after I tried Menzerna. I'd say if the paint looks good, then another pass with Final Polish is unnecessary. I'm sure you'll get some opinions on topping it.

I would really like to know if the results speak for themselves, or, might there be some fillers in Menz?

Not critiquing your abilities, just curious as to Menz's actual filling capabilities......

For my own experience I would say it's the results. I can only compare my Menzerna results with Optimum Hyper compound, but I was having little luck getting rid of heavier swirls on two of my vehicles until I used SIP. One is a daily driver that was done in July, and the last time I was able to give a good wash and wax, and see the paint well was late September and I saw no return of swirls. The other is a garage queen, so that one really wouldn't be a good comparison.

I too had a similar experience last week on a friends car with Menzerna. He has a 110,000+ mile Camaro that had a TON or swirl marks on the hood. I honestly thought there was going to be no way in hell we were going to make any progress as badly swirled as his car was.

So we made a couple of passes with some Megs #80 he had, and saw some progress. But that was the only polish he had. So I went home and got the SIP, and it cut right through everything left behind from the Megs #80! It definitely lived up to its hype, and I was impressed.

.... But to answer your question, I'd say just go with the XMT. Sounds like your paint looks good.

i was thinking about using the xmt 360 aio, posted the question, and received no comments back what so ever. It seems like many on here dont use the xmt products...

IMHO - I've used XMT polishes, they are ok but on the pricey side. I have not heard a lot about the 360 either, so - how bout trying it since you have it and let the rest of us know how it looks.

Filling? I've used a lot of Menzerna and I still haven't experienced this. Those that have were speaking of the NANO polishes. IP and FP have never been mentioned in this light. Results for sure!

That is great to hear, that's the same combo I plan on going with. Just to be clear, you used the "Intensive polish", not the "Super Intensive polish" right? Then right to the "Final Polish"?

I bought the FPII, which from what I understand has basically taken the place of the original FP.

Glad it worked out for you.

I've done IPA wipe downs after using the Menzerna nano polishes and satisfied myself that there were no fillers. They really do give a superior finish.

FP, IP, SIP, 106ff...none of them have fillers. Right in the description it says "Menzerna Super Intensive Polish contains no silicone, waxes, fillers, or glaze." Their Finishing Glaze (po 115c) is the only Menzerna product I know of for a fact that does have fillers and it's meant for someone that wants to handle swirls but doesn't have time to polish. Hope that helps.

I too just used IP followed by FP, FG and toped with Collinite 845 using a UDM (all this on my vacation back in GA lol) on my buddys blue by you Evo (light blue used on 03-04 Evos) and it was amazing! This car hadn't seen a good detail since I did it by hand over a year ago! I wasn't able to get all the swirls out (probably due to my lack of experience with the product and the UDM) but it was amazing and actually made the paint look darker and wetter than any other BBY Evo i've ever seen. Im sold on Menz polishes and will be picking up the SIP and Nano polishes.

What types of pads did you use?

I got a PC a couple of yeasr ago and tried it with PB SSR, and the result was never as nice as I hoped it would be. I'm sure my technique left something to be desired, but I always had some holograms and minor hazing. A couple of months ago I got a bottle of FPII, and I haven't put down the PC since. My '87 911 with 20 year old black paint looked great. Great results and really easy to use.

I tried menz this past weekend and I loved it as well. My opinion is a bit bias since this is the first polish I have ever used, but damn it turned out nice (even with my lack of experience).

Civicman - you're lucky you hit a home run the first time. I resisted buying Menzerna so I spent $$$$ on other "stuff", well, I tried Menzerna and nearly broke my leg trying to kick myself for not trying them sooner!
