I just ordered Vintage

Did not read the whole post, but what have you heard with regards to longevity of the Vintage, calgarydetail? How does it compare to some of the more run-of-the-mill products?

cumon its only 25 pages :cooleek:

As for longevity, im not the best to awsner that since i have not tried it however i have heard is great.

Superbee posted that he had it on hid wifes ride. Said it lasted 3 months before his wife noticed it was starting to go... i dont htink it was gone just starting.

perhaps some of the guys who have it like vintage, superbee, lbls1, ect (sorry i dont have the deterity yo type everyone) will have somthing to say.

edit: very cool. I also got post 300... i thnk i had 200... man i need a life

Yeah, three months (and summer months, at that) is what I got from one layer of Vintage on the wife's Sequoia. It was outside the entire time. Our two car garage is more like one car, and all my detailing supplies. No room for her SUV.

I haven't tested the durability on the 'bee, cause I wax it every three weeks.

I imagine a few layers of Vintage and a garage would extend it's life quite a bit.

4 coats of Vintage. I started with Victoria Lite Cleanse. Then the 4 coats of Vintage with a cold water mist after each coat. What you see is pure wax. No QD's to spark the finish.

Very nice pictures. For these high-end Zymol waxes that require you to work the wax into your hand to melt it down ot mix the enzymes or whatnot, what about people that don't have baby-smooth hands and get ahold of this stuff? A roughened hand could scratch and mar the paint, no? Is there an alternate way to apply this stuff?

MDRX8, your car looks a-mazing. Truly top notch, man. It really showcases what a well-done Vintage finish looks like. And the fact that you haven't used any QD over it, well, that's just the icing on the proverbial cake.

Two thumbs waaay up.

Ouch........I asked for it. Much better MDRX! I still want sun shots.........the range is incredible. Give us sun shots!!!!

Not for anything, but that cherry red color would've been a natural for concours. I'm surprised that you didn't like it. I am almost afraid of asking for more pics, but I want to see you stretch out the vintage finish. It is very wide!!!

First of all: Hooray for 300. Again that's incredible for a wax maker that was once? so hated here in the halls of Autopia. Goes to show you that performance alone will speak volumes.

Mike, what else can I say??? I could go on and on about Vintage. SuperBee would be better able to describe its durability, as my car has wimped out under the garage and covers wearing its expensive coatings. Now you've chastised me about not putting it on the DD. After realizing how durable Supe says it is, I just might put a layer of it on the DD next year. Trouble with that, however, is that I will not be able to maintain a regimen of Vintage on it. That was the main reason why I did not put it on my dd, so that I could at least have an adequate build up of a user friendly wax.

We'll see. Besides, it looks like I've been cornered to try out Victoria next year, so maybe the P21s may be sidelined.....maybe!

I know people have had an issue but I never have. I will order form him again withou question

edit: also keep in mind canadian customs are soooooo slow. so the time thing should not be an issue.
