I hope I didn't screw up-- does NXT bond to #7?

I wouldn't worry about it....Mike usually says it's LSP........so if you used a meguiar's glazee before it....you should be fine...
 
NXT Tech Wax will bond over the #7 and any Meguiar's polish.



We do the same thing with our Mold Release Wax, both the paste, and the new Liquid Synthetic Polymer Release and Sealer.

What your are doing is in essences, sandwiching in the #7 with the Tech Wax, and the #26.



For best results, I would apply two thin coats of the Tech Wax and then inspect before apply the #26 over it. And if you decide to apply #26 or any other wax over the Tech Wax, first... just do a side by side comparison in one area and then pull it out into the sun to see which side looks the best.



So far, I have not found a single reason to top Tech Wax if properly applied and removed from a properly prepared surface, or a finish in new or like new condition. Just check out any of the Detail Days at Meguiar's threads here,

And I'm expecting between 20 and 30 Ferrari's for this weekends event and none of the cars we detail with Tech Wax will be topped with anything... except maybe a second coat of Tech Wax!

Mike, one thing's for sure: On the real life, NXT is a killer :bow



Last Saturday I had a HARD job with a car so dirty it took me 3 hours to wash properly, but after that done, I only had to remove some swirls from the hood and followed with NXT on all vehicle with the PC and Megs yellow pad. It looked great.



Today I saw it again and it looks like new! :xyxthumbs
 
Whatever you worry about when detailing your car, don't EVER worry about bonding. You will never see little flakes of product on your garage floor in the morning from where it came off. You will never see product lose its film and puddle up on the surface of your paint. EVER.

Thanks for all the information. In the link that I posted in my original post, the end product of my detail was shown (quite a few pictures, actually). I liked the end product, but it was my first detailing, and I basically just did it as an experiment.



This summer when I go to detail my car, I'll probably skip the #26, but I wanted to just re-wax with #26 every few weeks so my work would last longer.
