I have contracted the disease!

Okay, I have been reading this forum for a while now, and I'm now infected with the disease. I just picked up my PC today, with edge pads on the way. I have a charcoal gray maxima, and a white tundra...both should be pretty easy to deal with...the Max is small, and the truck is white, which I hope will be forgiving of mistakes.
While I am a little reluctant to get into the clay due the the high cost of it, I am looking forward to the PC and using it on EVERYTHING.

So here is my question... I want to have the shiniest riding mower on my lane. Can I use the PC on the molded plastic parts (hood, for instance)
to help buff out the scratches and bring out a high polish?

I have not yet picked a polish/sealant line yet, but it will for sure be from a Detail City sponsor.

Congratulations on contracting Detailitis-Chemical-hu-mungous a very rare and envious disease that could cost you a small fortune.

Yes, I myself have become infected with the disease. One of my symptoms is that I find myself walking through a parking lot, at work for instance, and seeing the potential to bring some of these vehicles back to life. There's a black Chrysler 300S at my work that's just screaming to be detailed, and I'm half tempted to do it for free just for the satisfaction of "rescuing" the car.

As for the lawn mower question, why not? The one thing I've found with the PC is that you pretty much have to try to screw something up, and even then, it's not easy. I've polished up all kinds of non-automotive things just to see what it would look like. My tool box gleams, and my wife loves her shiny, swirl-free washing machine.
 
If it has paint on it you can detail it. Just take your time. Have fun! Oh, take pictures and post the process as well.

The only thing that I can say aabout the disease is...there are worse things that you could be obcessing over to spend your money on and you are most likely home when you do it.

You sure can. :) I've got a riding mower that's the envy of all the guys in my neighborhood. Hahaha!! It's got a couple of coats of S100 on it and it looks pretty nice.

It is a really great disease to have, I used to look forward to Friday just because it was the start of my weekend. I now can't wait to spend some time workin on the truck, it's really relaxing for me for some reason.
