Why I used quick 'n easy wash, because I was too lazy to get the hose out.

This towel is from target. It's their drying towel. I like a lot Waffle weave replacement. $7 versus $17? It dries just as well, and has a better nap for if you do happen to have something left on the paint. It's a good QEW drying towel. It's not as "grippy" of microfiber as some higher-quality towels but that really doesn't concern me with a drying towel. It did not marr the paint (I didn't perform a CD test since I figured that if it did mar my paint, i'd be polishing anyway). Nice things for relatively cheap make me happy.

Mezerna Final Polish II via rotary with a blue tufted finishing pad. I really like this polish. Really really really really really like it for a light polish. I also have Intensive polish but my car didn't really need anything more agressive. This is one of only a handful of times that I have used a rotary, but I am finally getting skillful with it and it will eventually replace the PC for me. With a finishing pad it mimics the PC with a polishing pad. It is almost foolproof with the tuft style pads, and "working time" seems about cut in half. The PC will move down to liquid wax application and glaze application. Or when I don't feel like using the rotary I suppose (light light polishing, but light polishing with the rotary is simple, quick, and provides similar results for not much more effort so I don't know). I do know that I really like the FP II. It's my new favorite light polish.

Last step product: Wolfgang sealant.

Here is my dilema. The body color door inner is new. The matte black is the way the car came from the factory. Now I really like how it looked matte black--I think it looked cleaner and well, just more tied together. Not as much contrast. Should I say something to the bodyshop (which is a fairly large body shop so don't get the impression that it's just some guy trying to make ends meat, but still they are busy busy) when I take it in to get the rear door lock fixed, or just deal with it? I have a few other problems too that I will definitely ask to be fixed (the driver's door handle has a fairly large gouge in it and some residue that I cannot get off, and the mirror they replaced is all marred and scratched).

I've been using those drying towels for a qood while now. Wally World sells them for a bit cheaper (under $7). They are great produts for the price...no doubt.

Well here's my story on waffle weaves. I purchsed one last year for myself for x-mas. I really liked it. But it seemed to get gunked up with whatever is in wax-as-u-dry, among other things. No amount of washing or rinsing gets it to be normal.



My dad really likes waffle weaves so I bought him one for x-mas, and he told me I could use it today since he used the old one. I looked in the box it was in and found this towel, brand new. I asked him about it and he said he bought it for himself before x-mas. I told him I'd use it and he didn't care because he has a WW.



So I shall use this instead. How much does it shrink, though? All of my other cheap MF have shrunk quite a bit. Maybe I'll throw it on the clothes line instead of in the dryer.

The finish looks to be pretty good quality (the repaint, the quality of your work speaks for itself ). Like I said before, I would DEFINATELY have them repaint the inner doors matte black.

I'm going to have them do the doors. It's only around where the window is. And for good reason, it looks more complete than having tan--bodycolor--black seal.

Not sure. Looks more like paint than powdercoating.
