I've been thinking about it since about 5 seconds after I hit the deer ;) I knew it'd never be perfect and I had written it off by the time I pulled over to assess the damage. Problem is, there's just *nothing* on the market that I want (I need a big sedan for travel). If I could just buy another one just like it (pre-damage condition, that is) I'd do it in a heartbeat. I'm probably gonna wait until the *new* S8 comes out, but I have issues with the new A8 models, even if they are "better". Sheesh, selling an otherwise perfect <7K mile car over cosmetics that nobody else notices :o
 
They have been good to work with so I really don't think they will have a problem.



But I'm going to complain about the trim. And the mirror.



The mirror really makes me wonder. I'd love to just get rid of the car but in all likelihood with cars for $6,000 and less I could get one that was in an accident and with problems. At least I have a guarantee for the lifetime of the car on their work.
 
Corey- Looks like they used a used mirror that had been cleaned improperly in the past.



Accumulator- Yeah I'm still getting used to the styling of the new A8, its got a great interior though definately a beautiful machine. My dad and I looked at them when he was replacing his LS400 last year. The big sedan market is tough, the S class is old, the new 7 is a love it or hate it proposition, I like the LS430 but its not an enthusiasts car, and the new Jag XJs aren't what they could be. Pretty much the only sure thing is the A8...
 
My thought is, if you can afford it, get it fixed up as good as you can finagle, and sell the car. It's never going to be the same and you aren't going to be satisfied with it no matter how perfect they can get it. It isn't going to be like it was before an accident.
