I found my favorite light compound/polish! OTC too

rydawg...would you rate the cut of the Ultra cutting creme (light) higher than Menz IP using a PC? I only use a PC. I've tried Menz PG with a yellow pad but I do not think I was getting the most out of the PG since it is intended for rotary use. Cranking up the speed helped but I don't think the PG was breaking down all the way. I now only use it with a 4" yellow spot pad.

I average about 2-3 car details a month in the spring/summer/fall. I currently use Sonus SFX-1 w/ yellow 6.5" pad if I need more cut than the IP and need to do entire panels. However, buying the Sonus in 8oz bottles is getting $$. The prices on the Presta polishes are nice.

Do you think that Ultra cutting creme (light) would give me that extra cut compared to IP? Would the Ultra cutting creme (light) replace the IP (same function)?

I get a bit more cut with RD3.01 than Ultra Cutting Creme Light, but they're very similar. I didn't used the Ultra Cutting Creme Light via PC...

Both are amazing polishes :waxing:

I guess it would really depend on the hardness of the paint. I have used IP with a pc before a couple of times but I did not like the dust it created. I was thinking of mixing it with some Presta swirl remover and see if it gives it the some lube and cuts down the dust.

They might be very close, but I have not done a side by side comparison. 95% of the time I use a rotory for correction work and always use the pc for finish work. The Ultra cutting creme does work pretty good with a pc and a LC yellow pad on most paints if the correction is minimum and the paint hardness is medium to soft.
